I'm not doing a blog this time. I was wanting to get involved with making vlogs on YT, but that didn't happen.
Anyway, here are my AFC standings predictions.
AFC East
Buffalo Bills 10-6
New England Patriots 8-8
Miami Dolphins 5-11
New York Jets 4-12
This is the Bills shot here. NE should take a step back, and this opens the door. Miami could be Buffalo this year, but until I see what that secondary can do I cannot pick them to be higher than this. They have a brutal schedule.
AFC North
Pittsburgh Steelers 12-4
Baltimore Ravens 12-4
Cleveland Browns 9-7
Cincinnati Bengals 5-11
So what's the difference between Pittsburgh and Baltimore here? Pittsburgh sweeps the Browns. The only way it doesn't happen is if Cleveland wins in Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh will not lose with positioning on the line. If Pittsburgh does not bounce back, then Baltimore wins it again. Pittsburgh can win five games against the AFC South and NFC East. I also have them taking Denver, especially now, and Buffalo. Baltimore will have game field on them so I expect a small step back. A key game is week 13 vs Dallas.
Cleveland I have at 9-7 because I can't pick them to lose to the Giants and Jets at this point. But I do feel they're gonna lose them.
AFC South
Tennessee Titans 10-6
Indianapolis Colts 10-6
Houston Texans 7-9
Jacksonville Jaguars 1-15
I had the Colts at 12 wins, but I decided switch the Baltimore games around and give them a loss to Las Vegas. After the Clowney move, Tennessee may have moved out of the 9-7 hole. The week 9 and 11 games for the Colts and Titans, respectively, against Baltimore could have an impact on who wins this division. I believe Rivers is a upgrade for the Colts, and the Colts are a organization always in the thick of it. Houston's schedule catches up to them this time. They've benefited four of the last five years from the other teams in their division not being good enough and having winnable games. They look like they could start out 1-3 and then have to face Tennessee, GB, Cleveland, and NE in four of the following six.
AFC West
Kansas City Chiefs 13-3
Las Vegas Raiders 8-8
Denver Broncos 6-10
Los Angeles Chargers 4-12
Just like that, Miller's injury completely changed things. The power for second place has shifted from Denver to LV. I started thinking more about the what-ifs for the Raiders. I am even giving them a upset win in New England and a home upset against one of NO and TB. They benefit from Denver's loss and could still get in the playoffs on 1 more win if Cleveland slips up. KC is KC, and will have the number 1 seed.
AFC Standings
1.Kansas City
2.Pittsburgh
3.Tennessee
4.Buffalo
5.Baltimore
6.Indianapolis
