Frankly I think Seattle had one of (if not THE) best drafts in the NFL. We basically got 3 late first rounders, and then some late stuff that can actually be starters (just some injury issues - Horton/Mills).

If we took Wilson over Milroe I'd be collapsing into myself with happiness... that said, I can't be TOO harsh with Milroe because it is the most important position in sports and even if it's a 5% chance he works out... well. He is the true definition of a project QB - all the athleticism, great arm, high work ethic/character.. is that worth a 3rd? I'd say no for basically any position in sports except QB. And for someone saying he's Justin Fields 2.0, no... he's more athletic and has a far higher work ethic/character than Fields. I went into Milroe a bit more because that's really the only pick that stands out to me for Seattle as an eyebrow raise.

For the Raiders, I'm not sure why WalterFootball for one graded it so low (oh wait, until I saw him mention a few times why they weren't drafting Sanders, ugh - wtf was that all about. Dude fuck Sanders). I get Jeanty at 6 is a little much, but the rest of their draft for the most part I liked. It seems very different from what Carroll does, but getting Bech, then stacking the OL... I mean the Raiders are going to be fairly loaded on the offensive side. Bowers, Bech, Jeanty? I mean Smith has to be happy lol. As a Hawks fan I did like and wanted Bech, but we just ran out of picks to get him.
We also have Meyers at WR. Him, Bech, Tre Tucker at WR, Bowers and Meyer at TE, Jeanty and Mostert at RB. I really like Jeanty in the passing game....he just needs the ball in his hands wether it's running or receiving. He can get yards and be explosive.

i would never take a RB that high, dont care how good he is
I wasn't happy at first but we had the worst running game in the League last season and Carroll and Kelly want to run the ball.

It is what it is at the moment. I'm trying to be optimisitc.....thank you very much.

I mean you guys had one of the worst offenses in the league last year (PF/yards) while your defense wasn't horrible...

Ya needed offense and that's what you addressed. Ya got a QB, another WR, and instant threat in Jeanty, and 2 offensive line upgrades or depth.

I do agree with MrS I would also not take a RB that high in most cases... but this draft really didn't have that much top 5 let alone 10 talent to begin with. Jeanty prob. would've gone top 16 in last years draft, which warrants the top 10 in this class which was weaker.

Added some defensive talent also in draft and FA. Minor, nothing major but our defense got tired a lot because the damn offense couldn't stay on the field due to no running game,

If Wilkins can stay healthy at DT as well as Crosby.....the defense should be a lot better. Wilkins didn't have a good debut in the silver and black due to being hurt.

I would have taken OL and drafted a RB in round 2

Chip Kelly wants to run? Since when? LMAO! He doesn't know how to run and Geno will audible out of running plays at a 90% rate. XD

Chip Kelly is a pass happy OC which is why it's very strange to pair him with Pete Carroll. But Geno will love it because Geno just wants to pass every play and would rather throw a INT than run it for the 8+ yards teams give him. You all will love Geno at first then you will just always be waiting for him to mess up every game because its not if its when. His screw-ups also are normally game changers, snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Picture this you're down 2, ball on the opponent 5 yard line 40 seconds left ... Its picked off and returned 105 yards for a TD.

Chip Kelly is perfectly happy running. What he likes to do is play up tempo. Which Pete does not like doing.

Chipper wants back in the NFL which is why he went to OSU and changed his ways. Buckeyes had 2 RB's over a 1000yds and combined 24TDs.

I would love to sit down with John Schneider and REALLY know what happened with Geno.

My take: I don't think Seattle was serious about resigning him for a second. I think they wanted to move on (they were 100% moving on from Grubb, that was a disaster), and I don't think Geno was anywhere in their plan moving forward.

Whatever, we'll never know the true story - but I'm extremely happy with how things have played out.

The fact we got 3 1st round picks (effectively) and Darnold works perfectly fine for me. And hey, it's probably a < 5% chance, but maybe a QB of the future. And moving on from DK was possibly the smartest thing this organization has done in a while.

Oh i think they were 100% ready to move on but if they couldn't find another option they would have kept Geno. Like if Sam Darnold signed with someone else they most likely keep Geno and roll it back. But yeah i think they were 100% ready to move, we know that 90% of the fan base was. Who cares if you win 8 to 10 games every season if you just keep losing in the playoffs and to teams you have no business losing to like the Giants.

I was SO happy we moved on from Geno, his ceiling was tapped out, he’s only declining at his age now … Pete’s showing his age going after him …

I think O'Connell well benefit from getting to sit and watch. I still think he is capable he just isn't ready. Last season or 2024 draft i was talking about how teams ruin young Mid round QB's now by throwing them right into the fire. It just destroys them. Give them 1 to 2 years of sitting and they always seem to do better.

My guess is that they had a number that they thought was acceptable to extend Geno and once it was clear that Geno wanted more than that, they decided to move especially when they found someone willing to give them a 3rd.

It's a risky move but if, and that's a big if given the past 15 years, they can fix the OL they can get similar production from Darnold most likely. But if we have similar OL play this season, it's going to be pretty ugly.

I mean at some point it's gotta be coaching. We have a top 10 pick, top 20 pick, two 3rd rounders invested on the OL.. Like at some point make it work, guys lol.

We have had the same problem through multiple coaching regimes.

Well last year we had a bottom 5 LG, a rookie Center, a turnstile at RT and no good option at RG.

Hopefully we solved our LG problem, Lucas can stay healthy, Olu improves his game and one of Bradford/Haynes steps up. But that's far from certain.
