Hopefully we can move back. 18 is just such a bleh pick to have this draft. I'd rather move back into the 20s and then use that ammo and a 2nd + maybe 3rd to move BACK into the 1st or early 2nd.

I mean come away with an OL in the 1st and Grant or something... music to my ears. Grant and Zabel I like, both are just way too early at 18. Grant would just help the rotation to an insane level and would make Seattle nearly impossible to run against... which creates 3rd and longs where Mike's style excels. I also think the league is going back to the run a bit more. Pass rushers are POURING out of College and OLineman (especially good pass blockers) or QBs that deal with it are getting hard to find.

Anyway, a little over 24 hours! Will be fun to see (well hopefully) what Seattle does with all this ammo.

I'm not holding my breath, i fully expect to be disappointed in as much as i don't think they do anything sensible with 18.

Soon find out. JS been going with safe choices the first last few years in round one. I feel if that continues it will be a OL with pick 18, unless the run on OL ahead of the Seahawks wipes out that option. So Banks or Zabel, very much doubt both are still on the board, but hopefully one of them is. Think both Warren and Loveland be gone. McMillian be gone, there will be a run on edge just ahead of the Seahawks pick making BPA a OL. I will celebrate if that happens.

I see Rob Staton final mock draft has the Seahawks taking Zabel. With the warning "if he is still available".

Yah Staton (who I will be watching tomorrow - I think he said he was live streaming the 1st round) is a great opinion and streamer to watch. I really like his content.

I know he doesn't LOVE Zabel and considers him a bit overrated (for 18 I mean) but on one of his streams he said, "I'm fine with it." Like... hey I'll give it a good grade (like a B or B+) I'm just not IN LOVE with it. And I get that. Again in my scenario if I can trade down some and get him in the mid 20s and then use the ammo to move up back into the 2nd (with some 3rds) or EARLY 2nd (or late 1st) that'd be great.

But if we just stay at 18... and take Zabel (pending any other drops), fine. I know Staton LOVES Egbuka.

A Lot of talk of taking jalen effing milroe, making me nauseated

Same... I hope it's the same bullshit we got with Malik Willis who Seattle NEVER had on their radar. I think the Milroe to Seattle (or ANY team) for that matter prior to the 4th round is a bunch of bullshit. It also doesn't help Anthony Richardson is one of the dumbest QB picks since Trey Lance.

Seattle DID visit with Milroe and have said they are willing to take a QB... but I just don't see it. Especially with the signing of Darnold and then grabbing Lock. Something like Ewers in the 3rd seems FAR more realistic (who Schneider loves).

Just because Mac came from a Lamar Jackson led team (who was FAR better than Milroe, not even the same level), doesn't mean we're just taking a worse clone of him in the 1st (and Jackson has done fuck all in the playoffs anyway).

I've said before if anyone drafts Milroe (I think I said prior to the 7th), it's an auto F grade. And teams get that. Seattle isn't drafting Milroe at 18, let alone 50/52, let alone in the 3rd round lol. Signing Lock told you all you need to know about that.

He has some concern that Zabel will be off the board, perhaps to Dolphins at pick 13. Raiders front office is pushing for taking a OL. Saints and or Jags could take a OL. The shortage of quality OL is severe and they are going to get gobbled up this draft. Seahawks had the 31st OL and to get to middle of the pack it's going to take a player of quality on the OL. Obvious their are tiers and for OL I feel it goes like this:

Tier 1) Membou-Cambell they will be off the board

Tier 2) Banks and Zabel they could be off the board but hopefully one makes it

Tier 3 ) Simmons and Conerly Simmons may have been first off the board except for a major injury. Both are first round picks

Tier 4) Booker and Jackson Be long gone before pick 50. If not first round then early early second round.

Tier 5) Ratledge, Salalinae, Ersery Ersery likely off the board, Ratledge may be off the board and stricty a RG. Salalinae is going to be a bust. Not aggressive, doesn't finish, lets up if play isn't in his area, good athlete with a really wide frame.

Tier 6) Wilson- a center, best of the draft

Tier 7) Now we are talking developmental, the type JS likes. Some look promising but not necessarily a fit, either not zone blockers, play on the right side, not good size, not good athlete, need to get stronger, injury issues, there a reason they have dropped in the draft.

Just don't see that 31st OL improving much unless they land someone in the first 4 tiers and the higher the tier the better. The lower tiers ( 5 and below) could help if they are in addition rather then the first add to the OL.
