The green, white, orange
And when they pulled up on that shore
First generation born
Toast to those that made it on a boat to New York
Whole bunch of Irish screaming "FUCK THE LONDON GAURD"

Manny Trillo... definitely saved his "best" years for the Phillies

what did he do? BTW, I think all the pitchers got the memo and they are refusing to walk him
Just made a nice over the shoulder catch in foul territory. Are you watching? It's on CSN

Trillo was the man. I think he had like an 80 game errorless streak with the Phillies. The best was when someone hit a hard grounder to him. He would stand there and look at the ball like he was reading the label and wait for the runner to get close to first base, then whip it over to first for the out.

That's funny. He just was an awful hitter (career 81 wRC+), but, judging by the stats and what everyone who watched him tells me, his defense is what kept him in the league for so long

I don't even remember when we got Holoday--Klentak is just wheeling and dealing so much it's impossible to keep track of it all.

My favorite is when in 505 PA in 1985 for the Giants, he hit .224/.287/.288 for a 67 wRC+ and still finished with a 0.8 WAR

Was that supposed to be a hit-and-run? It looked like a straight steal, but Kendrick kept peaking in

Yeah, that 1980 team was probably one of the best defensive teams ever. Outside of Luzinski/Lonnie Smith everyone was gold glove caliber. Up the middle was about as solid as you could get- Boonie, Carlton,Trillo, Bowa, Maddox.

This team has so much talent it's not even fair
Sometimes you have to wonder if those late '00s, early '10s teams are getting jealous that they're about to be overshadowed when Mighty Quinn and co. pull off 10 straight WS championships

Yeah, I'm beginning to think we may not have room on the roster for Trout, let alone Harper
