I forgot where I saw it. He could be a nice slot receiver too. He has better receiving skill than Hester ever had, but he is still no 1 or 2 receiver.Where did you see this?
I'm assuming Patterson would be mostly just a return guy. Which is good... since Hester left, we've had a rotating door of very shitty return men.
That's a surprise. He's been buried on the Steelers WR depth chart. Maybe he can break out here?SIGNING ALERT:
Bears agree to terms with WR Markus Wheaton

Get used to hearing Glennon to Wheaton for the TD!!!
Well... White would REALLY have to pan out for that WR core to be considered even average. I get what you mean though. I guess the Wheaton signing puts a kabosh on Patterson coming here.He can also return kicks pretty solidly. Two birds, one stone.
He also had two very good seasons with Pittsburgh, prior to getting hurt last year. 700+ yards, 50+ receptions. Despite, being the #3 option. Not bad.
Good speed, can stretch the field. If White can finally even somewhat pan out, you can do a lot worse than; White, Meredith, Wheaton, Thompson and a rookie. With Zach Miller and Daniel Brown at TE. If our run game and Oline continue to come along, it won't be anything special. However, it could be quite efficient.
MAtt Barkley off to the 49ers as well as Hoyer.
Looks like Amakumara and Sims will be the only additions today. I'm sure we'll make one or two tomorrow.
Pace playing it conservative with the higher tier free agents, which I like. We're not in a spot to overpay for a big name.
Yes, but the Patriots are working like they just lost the super bowl and want draft day off.
Martellus Bennet will be dragging his lazy ass to Green Bay. This is going to be very interesting when Rodgers wants to catch the other team without substitutions, Bennett should be called for illegal motion when he is stumbling up to the line.

We signed CB Marcus Cooper to a 3-year deal today.
Seems like another solid depth piece. Like I said before, we have group of solid corners. We just need that one stud to really bring the secondary together now.
A seventh-round pick of the Kansas City Chiefs in 2013, Cooper appeared in 15 games last year with the Arizona Cardinals. In three seasons with the Chiefs he made 11 starts in 38 games and recorded three interceptions and 65 tackles.
Last season, Cooper started 13 games and recorded 69 tackles, 11 pass deflections and four interceptions.
Wheaton has all the tools to be a complete WR in the NFL, but injuries have plagued him. He could never stay on the field long enough to make a consistent impact. He had a shot at being the #2 guy in PIT but was better suited in the slot when Marty B broke out into the NFL. Great work ethic type of player though, and good locker room presence. That's a surprise. He's been buried on the Steelers WR depth chart. Maybe he can break out here?
