So you like trading up to the 2nd pick to draft a project when you just sign a QB to a big boy contract?

Feels like setting us back 3 years. AGAIN.
Stop confusing Glennon's contract with anything other than a 1 year prove it deal. It costs next to nothing to cut him next year. This was the plan all along.

Fox was a Pace HC man... That was made clear at the time.

EDIT: I suppose it's possible Pace was pressured to go with an experienced guy like Fox after the Trestman ordeal. However, there's no reason to believe he didn't want Fox, outside of baseless speculation.
Fox has shown he can build teams. He's here to cultivate talent. When we become a contender, we will move on if he blows it in the playoffs.

Reuben Foster, Cam Robinson. I would be ecstatic if one of these guys ended up on the bears.

Big boy contract? What are you smoking? The money is only guaranteed for one year. lol. It's amazing that people still don't know how to look at an NFL contract. Guaranteed money is all that counts.

There's a potential out, after one season. Where the whole thing would only wind up costing us 4.5 mil in dead cap.

Guaranteed money-wise, it's valued at like 24th in the league. He's barely making more than Hoyer in SF dude...

Foster gone.

#36 overall is wide open now, after taking Trubisky. Outside of RB, nothing would be surprising. (not counting QB, of course... lol)

I read up a lot on that kid's situation with the r*pe accusations, and there's 3 people corroborating his story that it's total nonsense. He's willingly giving DNA to clear him ASAP. I kind of was hoping he'd fall to us... but of course... The Raiders never miss a chance to take a guy under investigation for a crime. lol

I also was hoping Njorku, that Miami TE would fall to us. Good pick by CLE

Who's? Cam Robinson was arrested for marijuana possession and possession of an illegal fire arm last year. That leads me to believe we won't take him. I'd love some o line help or some secondary help though. I'm not sure there are any WRs left that will help us as top level targets. I also wouldn't mind an ILB.

I'm talking about Gareon Conley. You didn't hear about this story? Some chick accused him of r*pe two days before the draft, and today it's coming out that it's bogus. Raiders took a shot at him, regardless of the accusations.

Oh, I heard of his. I thought you were referring to someone I mentioned. r*pe accusations are so tricky. You can't really believe every one you hear blindly.

Yeah, I mean... outside of Tyson. 99% of the ones we've seen with athletes have been BS. Duke Lacrosse, Kobe, Jameis Winston, Patrick Kane, Derrick Rose and now this kid, it looks like...

Should be harsher penalties for the women that try to ruin people's lives like this. Whether it's for a pay day (Kane, Rose, Kobe), or out of spite (Jameis).

I totally agree. Athletes can easily avoid it by not being sluts or carrying paperwork that the women they have sex with have to sign to show there was consent. I have a side job where I work for famous musicians and part of the benefits is getting to see the show from the pit and interact with them back stage. I know several musicians who have every partner they have sign a document stating they gave consent. It's easier to get athletes before they are able to get paid though.

Hmm... that seems like a very awkward thing to do, I know that's the last thing I'd WANT to do... but I do understand it. Definitely smart.

Pace was ordered to bring in a HC with NFL experience. Pace never wanted Fox at all.

I don't like the pick at all. He reminds me of bortles or Cutler coming out of college. I think we just got Cade McCown 2.0, but I'm going to give him a shot.

I have a feeling we just got fleeced by SF though. That's a lot to give up.

Dude...

Cade McNown was a spoiled, arrogant, cocky lazy, no work ethic, party-boy dweeb... who was loathed by everyone he encountered.

These two guys are polar opposites, in comparison.

We will wait and see. I typed that in a dazed confusion after hearing he was drafted. I still don't see a good QB in him, but he deserves a chance.

Outside of inexperience... I guess I just don't see a what's to knock.

Intelligence, great. Arm strength, rated very highly. Accuracy, it was certainly great in college. Mobility, top notch. Work ethic, coaches refer to him as a "film geek" and a "gym rat"... He's 6'2 220... so he has the height and body frame.

I mean, there's obviously going to be flaws in his game. I was the first one to react in shock when they took him. I'm not saying I'm like sold on the guy as our future. However, I guess I'm just saying... his 2016 season was almost as perfect as it could be, and there's no measurables that he doesn't have.

If he just had TWO seasons like this past one, he may have been the consensus #1 overall pick instead of Garrett.

I just tuned in. What did we get from Arizona for the 36th overall pick? I know we're 45th now. What besides that?

I don't have a link. When Tdog was fired the McCasky's said in a interview that they wanted a HC with NFL experience. Pace did not pick Fox the McCaskys did.
