it's odd to me that we can be 32nd (rivals) in the nation, but only 5th in the Big 10. i'm assuming Mich, OSU, MSU, Wisc are the 4 in front of us? who would be the 5th in the ones where we are 6th? then freakin ESPN, 40th? and 7th in Big10, wtf?

That's because all the "Experts" have no idea what they are talking about.

That and I've said for a long time the sports media (ESPN in [articular) and "experts" have never had any love for Nebraska.

Those experts are ranking the prospects before Nebraska picks them up.....

Sounds to me more like Nebraska doesn't have any love for highly ranked recruits

Nobody can claim that FSU's coaching was mostly responsible for this because these coaches have been around a little while now and they've never come close.......but they finally got the recruits together that they needed.

I mean, a Freshman led them to the promised land for shit sake. That is all the proof you need right there.

Nebraska fans live in a fantasy world where there's a coach who can come here and wave a magic wand and we outplay the Alabama's and the LSU's.

Alabama and LSU will tear us a new one for years to come. They're on another planet than us. That's not changing with this below average POS class.

It's a depth thing. We don't have even close to the depth that LSU and Bama have. The depth/talent gap is massive.

Exactly... we'd have to go through a season with little to no injuries to compete at a high level. I think we can do it, but depth is definitely an issue.

Yeah. I think our 1's can compete with (almost) anyone to an extent, but unfortunately your 1's aren't a measure of how good a football team really is.

Your facts aren't quite on the money. Said coaches have been there only since 2010 (when Fisher took over). FSU has been in the hotbed of a recruiting area since forever. They always get good recruiting classes. Freshman QB or not, it still takes a good coaching staff (that knows what it's doing) to get to the top. 'Bama/Florida/LSU are ALL other prime examples of schools that have consistently gotten great recruiting classes over the decades but they have only succeeded with the right coaching staffs.

I think Miles needs to talk to Harrison.
