Man I just got my XBox a couple of years ago. I'm not quite ready to drop $500 on a new system. If I had money to throw away, it's a tough one bc in the past I've always been loyal to Sony. However, with my 6 year old, I love how XBox came out w Kinect so we can actually participate in physical activity without holding a controller. I have a Bluray player anyway and that would be the bonus of having the PS3. I think the new PS4 has 3d am I correct jjg?

PS4 based solely on the E3 crap Microsoft tried, but it's so far before the systems come out that I could swap, or even go with neither. Looking to build a gaming PC and that isn't cheap either.

PS4 and it ain't close. I have always been more of a PS fan, although I did own both PS3 and 360, but Microsoft is getting greedier and greedier and they are pushing the limits. I already preordered a PS4 from Gamestop. Will be getting it as soon as it comes out.

Are you worried about her finding out that you spent 500 or worried about finding out what you spent that 500 on?

I always wait for a price drop & the reviews to come out. I'm probably more inclined towards PS4 at this point, but I also intend to be open minded about this.

I just did this and spent a pile of money on it. I can probably play just about any game now and for awhile though.

LOL I disagree on all points. It's funny all of the different opinions out there when it comes to which console is better.

Like I said. The only reason why I chose the XBox over the PS3 at the time was bc of the kinnect. Having a young child made me decide choosing a game system that you can be active w/o the use of a controller is quite pleasing. I don't have to worry about my youngster or his friends getting reckless w the controller and putting it through my screen tv. This coming from a guy who has always bought SONY products from my younger years. It was a no brainer for me on this decision. However, both systems are pretty awesome. It really depends on what you are really wanting it for? I have a blu-ray player. If I did not, the PS was the way I would go. As long as you can afford either one, you are a lucky SOB

i probably would've gotten a PS3 instead of 360 if my friends didn't have the 360.. i think my train of thought would be the same on the PS4 vs One too.. it really would depend on what my friends got, i really dont mind either way.. though, if PS4 online gaming is still free, that'd be a big bonus
