will be nice to see Mahinmi finally starting to get some minutes

like the Redskins ... i dont really watch much of the rest of the league.

But, they could use an upgrade at guard over satoransky & thorton coming off the bench.

Ernie really has shut alot of people up.

Nobody can say the deal for Gortat or Morris were bad ideas any more.

If he can pull out one more trade like that ... this team could contend with LeBron and Cavs.

Good assessment, totally agree, however, let me add that getting some production out of Mahinmi as you stated will be a welcome positive for one M. Gortat. I was not among those calling for Grunfield's ouster because a lot of that had to do with our former HC not notifying the players that there was going to be a change in the offensive scheme until the last minute, and all of the speculation surrounding KD coming here. They are playing great ball and Ernie has been a instrumental part of it along with S. Brooks!! GO ZARDS!!!

I am not a fan. I was in the 70s when E, Wes, Bobby and Phil were there and a friend was assistant trainer. Never liked the name change.

Good for them though.

Don't know about Ernie shutting anyone up. Scottie Brooks turned this around.

alot of folks didnt like ernie shipping off the 1st round picks for Gortat & Morris ... but time has proven those to be smart moves.

all this basketball talk ... we must be coming down with a bullets fever

this season will possibly be the last chance to see a live game at RFK as DC United new stadium will open for the 2018 season

I might have to make the trip up and catch the last home game just to say goodbye to RFK. Wonder if I have grown too big to crawl under the barrier on the river side fence. :D

i am not a big soccer fan ... but i make it out to one or two united games a season just for the nostalgia of tailgating at RFK.

for 30 bucks you can get all you can eat & drink by joining barra brava which makes tailgating a breeze.

sad to say, but ... i doubt the tailgating will continue at the new stadium without a parking lot to accommodate everyone.

its a 14-16 hour drive for me. So if i go, it wont be for the game so much as to say goodbye to RFK for the last time. I was at the final Skins game there. The last Dead Concert there. So for me, it would be a trip to say so long to an old friend before they tear it down.

this is the trade we were discussing ...

would have been ok with giving up the first ... but I like Oubre and would like to hold onto him another year to see how he grows

Seems like a half downward half lateral move to me....same sort of talent in a smaller package. Williams stands at 6'1" tall while Oubre stands at 6'7" tall. While it's true that they could use some backcourt help, IMO more help up front is the greater priority. I also agree with @Neil Dalal when he wrote..."Good move to stand pat in bidding war."

agreed ... Williams was the Lakers leading scorer ... & that was coming off the bench. He was voted 6 man of the year last year. So he really could have helped boost our benches production & allowed Beal & Wall minutes to rest. Definitely worth the first round pick.

But the cost of throwing in Oubre into the deal would have cancelled out Williams value. No sense to add a productive member to your bench while simultaneously trading away a productive bench player & possibly your most solid defender.

the fact KD got injured & the warriors were playing the 2nd night of a back to back did not do them any favors ...

but I'll take a win over those guys any nite we can pull it out

next two games vs the Raptors should be very telling about the resolve of these guys.

Who would have thought the cavs vs zards games & the warriors vs zards game would be considered two of the most entertaining games in the league this season. Anothr sign the organization is moving in the right direction towards relevance.

Sounds like they just made a move to get some more help off the bench also ..

It's nice to actually care about the Wizards again. Just to bad the NBA is so lopsided in competitive fairness. Hopefully will see them continue getting better. Would be crazy cool to get to the Eastern finals with Cavs.

not sure if they still have the stone cold steve austin show where he works all the noob wrestlers into shape

& teaching them the ropes about the industry

but that was entertaining.

would like to see some of these wrestler rookie do similar exercises as the combine ....

would help support the idea that WWE entertainers should be considered professional athletes ...

dont get to hear that argument brought up often ... because nobody mentions WWE as an athlete

but that why i support this product

because even tho the end is predetermined ....

you can not get there without an unbelievable amount of athleticism
