Don't know how many Achilles injuries have occurred in previous years but 11 so far this year...
I agree with Beicheck on this. Less team organized off season work, and less contact during that work is quietly leading to MORE off season non contact season ending injuries. Coaches are given less and less time to do more and more work. These guys are trying to go full tilt from a dead stop in alot of cases. 10 years ago how many players did we see lost for the season without taking a snap in a contact drill?? And the rash of season ending leg injuries speaks directly to lack of conditioning.
