I remember Mike Curtis well when he played at both Duke and the Colts. He was indeed a 'mad dog' and fortunate enough to play in the NFL near where he grew up. RIP to a great one!
He played football at Richard Montgomery HS - and lived in Rockville - I didn't realize that, and I grew up in Rockville. RIP.

When I was a kid I visited my first cousin many times who lived in Bethesda, which I think is next door to Rockville. He told me that a lot of good high school talent were getting college football scholarship offers from their area high schools even though I didn't keep up with where they went to college back then. But I sure do remember Mike Curtis at Duke where he excelled as both a fullback and linebacker.

Yes, Bethesda borders Rockville,

Yeah, Rockville borders Bethesda. In fact, I'm in Bethesda right now. Bethesda gets the higher property values. Businesses in Rockville near the border sometimes use "North Bethesda" as their address. White Flint Mall did that - and it didn't stop them from going out of business. REM hurt Rockville's rep with their song "Don't go back to Rockville".

The area is very suburban and tbh isn't a hotbed for football prospects.

I remember Mike Curtis well, one of the few Colts I liked. I remember him having a cast on his arm and hitting Griese on the shoulder as he started to run out of bounds. Damned good LBer.

I lived in Rockville for years, between the court house and 270 or 70S when Curtis was in school. My stepson went to RM and played soccer for them but that was in the 90s. My ex wife was an RM grad also.

Although not from Rockville or Maryland Walter Johnson has a HS named after him in North Bethesda/Rockville. He retired to Germantown eventually.

Just to give you an idea of where my cousin lived, he lived a couple of blocks off Wisconsin Avenue in Bethesda on a narrow street called West Virginia Avenue. I think he ended up going to Chevy Chase High School, or something like that, but that was many years ago. We had some fun times together back in those days and I enjoyed my visits there.

Since I'm in the off topic lounge I really want to get off topic for a moment.

I want to send out a couple of virtual high fives to a couple of very necessary groups in our nation during these trying times for all of us who have worked many hours to protect and serve us all.

1st/ A virtual high five to all of our health care workers and particularly those health care workers who have worked on the front lines to protect us all to the best of their ability.

2nd/ A virtual high five to all of our truck drivers who continue to deliver the goods that we all need and want. Always remember, if you bought it a truck brought it.

Can I get an AMEN from all of my Skins brothers out there on this?

But you were more interested in the hookers . . . . . and then you went to sleep!

You must have forgotten that I'm the old guy here!

Clean hookers, who woulda thunk it?

BTW: I'm pushing 67, so you may have a couple of years on me! :suds:

You're a bright guy even though your math skills have room for improvement. A couple of years plus almost 6 more and your math will make you much brighter. As I told you, I'm older than dirt.

A couple of questions for all of my Skins brothers out there:

First of all I will admit that I have been a sports-a-holic since I was about 6 years old and over all of these years I have found there is no cure for it!

With that said, we are on a huge site here (8,263 members at last count) and I am always reading and posting on many threads relating to almost all sports.

Why do I never see any of my Skins brothers on any of them? Are they all into Skins only when it comes to sports? I apologize in advance if I have missed some of you guys on all the threads I visit but I just don't see you.
