If I had never heard those songs my life would be far from incomplete...

Years ago I went to a Meatloaf concert and he started playing "You took the words right out of my mouth...." and all these couples stood up and started serenating each other. I had one of those "vomit in your mouth reactions".

Lets face it, we all don't have the same connections to the music we share...
Well I think everyone's connection to a song should be different because what any one person could have been going through at any given time when that song was popular is different. I am all about the lyrics to me a song has to tell a great story, that is why I preferred Industrial Disease to Whipping Post I just liked that story a little more.

I keep flipping back and forth. Every time I've started to vote, I had to hear the other one just one more time.

If I don't vote now, I won't stop listening.

I feel the same.

"No More Tears in Heaven" I know it's dedicated to Clapton's son who fell out of the window in NYC. I dedicate it to all of the guys in Vietnam that I knew who never made it home. Brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it and I've been home for 50 years next month.

Agreed on the b side. I often liked the A side best at first but as the album settled into my play list, I often found I liked the a side better for listening.
There are a lot of great albums with great #1 songs that I just do not want to hear anymore!
I definitely heard too much "Free Bird" and "Stairway to Heaven" Just sayin"
Funny you should say that...I only associated B-Sides with singles, never albums.

I'm pretty sure you are correct but for A/B for albums, there are plenty of B's released for singles but as a whole albums tend to be more front loaded.

I use the term B side more generically a term to identify lesser known / played songs.
