I aint drunk Im just drinking
BTO
For me it's Johnny Cash. The message in that song is pretty powerful
BTO.Day 2:
BTO You Aint Seen Nothing Yet:
Johnny Cash Man In Black:
Yes Sir that is exactly how it's supposed to be and why we may get a lot more mixed genresBTO.
Johnny is fantastic, but this is song to song, not artist to artist.
I disagree, to me Johnny Cash is a guy who always made excuses for himself. That song says he wears black for others' plights? I feel bad for myself but will say I feel bad for others instead. For me it's Johnny Cash. The message in that song is pretty powerful
Okay if that's the message you got we all have opinions, to date BTO has a commanding lead at this point and to date there are not a lot of people voting I suspect this is a forgone conclusionI disagree, to me Johnny Cash is a guy who always made excuses for himself. BTO
That's exactly how I see it too. Many have a connection with him that I've never had, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying a lot of his music for what it is... such as Folsom Prison Blues.Okay if that's the message you got we all have opinions,
BTO. Best garage band of their day.Day 2:
BTO You Aint Seen Nothing Yet:
Johnny Cash Man In Black:
My favorite Johnny Cash song is One Piece at time. It's whitty and funBTO. Best garage band of their day.
Not one of my favorite Johhny Cash songs.
Day 1 Winner: Jackson Browne The PretenderSo I have decided what I am going to do in a effort to provide some sort of daily entertainment for the off season. Each day I will post two songs, they may be from the group, same genre, different groups, different genres, solo artists bands etc. I will attempt to do this early each day, poster should listen to each song and vote for which song advances. Even if you are familiar with the song I encourage you to listen and vote.
If there is a means for me to be able to edit a running thread for the purposes of tracking the winner that would be great. Also if you want to have songs entered into this just PM me two songs and I can make that happen. As we near spring training we will start having a run off of the winners and we ultimately reach a winner.
Dire Straights.Day Three:
Dire Straits: Industrial Disease
Allman Brothers: Whipping Post
Me Too Dire Straits for meDire Straights.
Allman Brothers, though both of these seem like "B-Sides". For me the Industrial Disease seems like a rehash of their other stuff where Whipping Post sounds like a jam. I'll take the jam over the rehash.Day Three:

Funny you say B Side. When I was in the Army many many many moons ago I use to make tapes or reels labeled B Side Tunes and would let them run while we partied. Eventually people were bringing me blank tapes or reels asking me to make them B sides. It's always been a thing with me, the music / radio / DJ industry would pick a song or two they like and make it mainstream all while ignoring often great or better songs.Allman Brothers, though both of these seem like "B-Sides". I'll take the Allman Bros in this one.Day Three:

Agreed on the b side. I often liked the A side best at first but as the album settled into my play list, I often found I liked the a side better for listening.Funny you say B Side. But your vote makes sense to me too it's a great flippin tune
Absolutely if I never heard those songs again it would be too soonAgreed on the b side. I often liked the A side best at first but as the album settled into my play list, I often found I liked the a side better for listening.
There are a lot of great albums with great #1 songs that I just do not want to hear anymore!
I definitely heard too much "Free Bird" and "Stairway to Heaven" Just sayin"
