Good question. Many had weak offenses but good defenses.

Mahomes when they beat the Eagles a couple seasons ago did not have great offensive talent, but they had a pretty good D.

I don't have any great suggestions off the top of my head TBH.

Yeah, seems like there have been a few teams with middling offenses but great defenses. Payton's Broncos come to mind, Trent Dilfer's Ravens, Eli's Giants

The Ravens that beat the Niners in the Harbowl had a lot of older players on it. 10th best offense, 12th best defense. Got lucky against the Broncos and just edged out Kaepernick.

That said, it's still probably the 2nd SB the Giants had against the Pats.

My nominee… the Baltimore Colts in 1970. Take your pick of Unitas or Morrall - that damn offense was putrid.
This was of special interest to me because I worked summer camp with those guys.

The game is often referred to as the "Blunder Bowl," "Blooper Bowl," or "Stupor Bowl" due to it being marred with poor play, a blocked PAT, missed opportunities, penalties, turnovers, and officiating miscues. The two teams combined for a Super Bowl record 11 turnovers, with five solely in the fourth quarter.[1] The Colts' seven turnovers remain the most committed by a Super Bowl champion. Dallas also set a Super Bowl record with 10 penalties, costing them 133 yards. It was finally settled when Colts rookie kicker Jim O'Brien made a 32-yard field goal with five seconds left in regulation time, then a Super Bowl record for least time in the lead for a champion.[2] Baltimore overcame a 13–6 deficit after three quarters and the loss of its starting quarterback Johnny Unitas to an injury in the second quarter. To date, the game is the only Super Bowl in which the Most Valuable Player Award was given to a member of the losing team: Cowboys' linebacker Chuck Howley, the first non-quarterback to win the award, after making two interceptions (sacks and tackles were not yet recorded).

Due to its blunders, the game is often regarded among the worst Super Bowls played,

That 2008 Steelers team may have been the worst OL to win a Super Bowl.

Dont think you can just go by the worst offense. Since the question was weakest team around the QB. If you have an all star QB that carries his offense. That team may not have the worst offense. but crappy support.
If a QB sucks you can have way better talent around him yet it is because of a Qb is why the offense sucks.
So IMO you cant go off a black & white stat to make your decision.

Good point. That's why one can't automatically say Trent Dilfer, because those Ravens had a great defense.
