A month is a long time to fix issues, and OU is still OU. They have very talented players on the defensive side of the ball, even if they have looked like electric football players for most of the year.

Plus, while Alabama is obviously very, very good, NO TEAM is unbeatable. Not to mention that Tua is not going to be 100% Tua (if he plays at all). I just think OU is worth taking a gamble on with those odds.

fyi: I have never been a very successful sports gambler (with the exception of the 1984 Orange Bowl, hitting a pick 6 in Vegas when ISU played @ UNLV in 1999 and the Patriots Super Bowl Upset over the Rams-*).

*-My last Sports bet (not counting pools).

That is how they won last time they played. Alabama out gained OU, but the Sooners won the turnover margin 5-1 IIRC including the sack, scoop and score on AJ trying to tie it up late. Different teams and circumstances, I know, but not many thought OU had a shot that night either.

Unfortunately, I was one of the few who thought OU would at least keep it close if not flat out win. Many of the Alabama fans were really put out with me about that! lol I don't make too many waves, but sometimes, I step in the elephant poo!

I was at the xmas party that year and my Bammer buddy said I give you 10 points bet for dinner for 5 couples, hell i was drunk and didn't care so I took the bet. man i gave him all kinda craps for losing the bet.

That was a particularly bad Bowl season for me. I was in Florida for the Holidays and I watched Alabama lose the Sugar Bowl (on TV) with my FSU brother, watched Ohio State lose in the Orange Bowl (in person) on the coldest night of the winter in South Florida (low 40s). I didn't even have my hoodie! Then, Back to TV watching FSU vs. Auburn in the BCS Championship - while I was literally dying of the flu on my brother's couch. So, Alabama lost. Boo! Ohio State lost. Boo! Did not give a crap about the FSU-Auburn game either way but had to deal with my autistic (about football) brother during the game. THEN, it took me a week to even get remotely well enough to drive back to Ohio! The only good thing is that I saw Iowa State Upset Baylor in Basketball (TV) when I stopped for the night in Georgia. That's my New Year's Misery Story!
