It's been about 7 years or so since I've been back down there. Went to L'Auberge for an evening. Was definitely impressed. Lake Charles has changed so much since I was a kid, I don't recognize the place anymore. Hell, the beach was just a beach when I was a kid.

I wouldn’t. NC is 1000, which is a 9% chance. They are +435 vs Bama, which is 18.5% chance to win. That implies the title game is a coin toss. I don’t see OU being a coin toss vs either team, even with a big win over Bama. Better off just taking the money line in each game

I've got a sneaking suspicion that Notre Dame is all business in this thing. Back in 2012 they were kind of a cinderella story and a little media darling with Manti Te'o and a little bit of hype behind them. Alabama was the better team, but Notre Dame got caught by the bright lights and big stage, back then.

I don't think that'll happen this time. I think Coach Kelly's going to have those boys primed and ready.

Nah. Lake Charles has always had this little penny-ante "beach" that's more like "Hey, we got lucky, here's a strip of sand. Let's call it a beach !" It's buried under so much new and commercial crap lately that somebody had to point it out to me, last time I saw it.

A month is a long time to fix issues, and OU is still OU. They have very talented players on the defensive side of the ball, even if they have looked like electric football players for most of the year.

Plus, while Alabama is obviously very, very good, NO TEAM is unbeatable. Not to mention that Tua is not going to be 100% Tua (if he plays at all). I just think OU is worth taking a gamble on with those odds.

fyi: I have never been a very successful sports gambler (with the exception of the 1984 Orange Bowl, hitting a pick 6 in Vegas when ISU played @ UNLV in 1999 and the Patriots Super Bowl Upset over the Rams-*).

*-My last Sports bet (not counting pools).

Clemson had a close game at TAMU (28-26).

Not knocking ND, but CU simply has more NFL ready talent on its roster. I will be surprised if ND keeps it closer than 10.
