I'd bet the 3 team field at +180. Wouldn't bet much, but I'd put a little down.

How many teams said to be unbeatable have we seen lose since the turn of the century?

But as a general rule I don't put money on teams I have a rooting interest in unless it's something like bet 50 bucks to win 5000 on the Braves to win the World Series before the season starts.

that's why I put it out there to see what the general population's opinion is. Maybe my homerism clouded my judgment but I have a hunch that OU might pull a rabbit out of the hat with their shitty defense.

It wouldn't take a miracle for Oklahoma to beat Bama. Bama isn't invincible, and your offense will give you a shot against anyone.

It's not a bad bet with the odds.

It's just me personally, I never bet real money on UGA.

It wouldn't take a miracle for Oklahoma to beat Bama. Bama isn't invincible, and your offense will give you a shot against anyone.

A month is a long time to fix issues, and OU is still OU. They have very talented players on the defensive side of the ball, even if they have looked like electric football players for most of the year.

Plus, while Alabama is obviously very, very good, NO TEAM is unbeatable. Not to mention that Tua is not going to be 100% Tua (if he plays at all). I just think OU is worth taking a gamble on with those odds.

fyi: I have never been a very successful sports gambler (with the exception of the 1984 Orange Bowl, hitting a pick 6 in Vegas when ISU played @ UNLV in 1999 and the Patriots Super Bowl Upset over the Rams-*).

*-My last Sports bet (not counting pools).

Got a trip planned between Christmas and new year's to New Orleans for some similar fun!

Yall will definitely score a lot. Just have to make a few stops on defense. But I was proud of the way our defense stepped up in the second half of the Rose Bowl last season. Winning that game wouldn't have been possible if they didn't.

It's been about 7 years or so since I've been back down there. Went to L'Auberge for an evening. Was definitely impressed. Lake Charles has changed so much since I was a kid, I don't recognize the place anymore. Hell, the beach was just a beach when I was a kid.
