68? LOL

Over/Under opened at 56. Now down to 50.

Temperature in the low 30's, snow, SW wind @ 17 mph. Those are mid-day conditions, but the game is played at night.

Neither team has played in those conditions this season. The team that runs the ball best, and turnovers likely decide it.
.

The IL game was close to that for the Gophers. Temp in the 40s, cold and drizzling.

The Gophers defense sucks no matter the weather conditions.

That's right... keep building them up with false hope!

Not terrible, but their schedule has been weak.

Total D: 28th
Rush D: 33rd
Pass D: 41st
Scoring D: 61st

Have you seen the clusterfuck that is Nebraska's offense?

Regardless of the weather (cold and snowy or sunny and 75*) I still like Nebraska to cover the (+7.5) if not win outright.

I am one of the Huskers biggest critics, so no homer there.

This is one of those games where I'm not sure what's gonna happen. Someone could probably easily talk me into believing the Huskers will win, or talk me into believing they will lose just as easily.

Went through Lincoln on my way to Colorado, let's just say that a conversation with one of my sources in Lincoln was not encouraging.

I am a tad bit upset he/she/it did not mention this to me in July/August. Let's just say it was not encouraging and I would have modified my prediction for the season to be 6-6. It mostly centered around the Offensive Line and how it has major issues and it had absolutely nothing to do with Cameron Jurgens other than to sort of explain why he is the starter.

How about the bombshell from Captain Farniok this week about the snap issues? Holy Crap.

My heart says Nebraska, and Nebraska has a chance. But my brain says bet Minnesota. Since I have never bet against nebraska with real money, it is a no bet.

Isn't it supposed to be windy in Minneapolis? Like real windy?

I can tell you the weather in Denver today was terrible.

We hit a low of 17 degrees farenheit and driving on the roads was dangerous. I was in Castle Pines where elevation is 6100 feet though. Now, I am in downtown Denver abd it is cold and currently 25 degrees farenheit.

I figured 7-5 before the line didn't show up, now you convinced me 6-6.

HA.

Huskers trailed Illinois on the road 7-21 just 16:30 into the game. It was one of their patented Riley 'fall way behind early' kind of games. They had 4 turnovers. Heck, they hadn't won a road game in 23 months. Riley's last season.

With that shit stacked against them, they won the last (43:30) by a score of 35-17.
It took Minnesota 60 minutes to put 40 on Illinois in Minneapolis.

Wisconsin beat Michigan by 21 pts (35-14). They beat Northwestern by just 9 pts (24-15). Both games in Madison.
The Badgers have beaten their other 3 opponents by a combined 158 - 0. An average 52 - 0.

I'd favor Northwestern over Minnesota by at least 3.

Offense won't be pretty. Even so, Blackshirts bring the chair home 28-24.

I missed this, what did he say about the snap issues?

"LINCOLN — One of the two captains of Nebraska’s offense — and the alpha dog of the offensive line — is fed up with NU’s wayward snaps to the quarterback.
“We have to figure out a way to get it right,” right tackle Matt Farniok said of the issue that has caused both Adrian Martinez and Noah Vedral significant heartburn this season.
“There are too many snaps that are going wild or going long and messing up the reads. We have to find a way to fix it. It is on all of us. We have to find some type of way to get those snaps right to his chest. There is no excuse for it now. In Week Seven we need perfect snaps and it is just the No. 1 rule of our center and that is what we expect from our center.”
As Cameron Jurgens still struggles with snaps, Huskers 'have to find a way to fix it'

i'm more curious about this. we had 3 returning starters for a team that ran the ball pretty decently last year. Jurgens has looked like one of the best blockers and it does seem like the snap issue is him actually trying, typically on running plays where he needs to get out and block. so if Jurgens isn't the issue (outside of the bad snaps) that points to a regression in the 3 returners or Hixson at guard. A lot of folks saying Farniok should be a guard, so if we do have an issue, why in the hell haven't we moved him over there and just let Benhart get his shot at right tackle?
