Can An Internal Promotion Be The Right Move For The Eagles?

I have to say.....I am one of the last ones that wants to hear "internal promotion" for OC. But this guy got me thinking a bit about someone like Press Taylor. I find the idea that Caldwell would come to just coach Wentz if he feels up to it outlandish.....and entirely possible at the same time.

I’ve been so rigid against no promoting from within this time around. But I wasn’t super aware of Taylor before. He was just part of that faceless coaching staff that wasn’t putting the best product out there.

But I didn’t know he had a lot of talent drawing up plays as an assistant. He had a Press Vault of plays....the Philly Special is one that came from that vault. It shows someone that can critically think of new ideas for plays that can work.

I’m not saying this scenario is highly possible....but what if Caldwell felt well enough to come work with Carson and mentor Press? I might be just fine and dandy with this.
