Here's how you get to HNF's house... see step #8.

Damn it, the link's not working. If you put in Seattle, WA to Hawaii, you get Step #8 - "Kayak across Pacific Ocean 2,756 miles" Pretty hilarious, Google.

seems like a quiet little town you have there..not too far from catching some games and the big city either! cool!

It's quiet, and actually kind of beautiful. Except downtown, which is falling apart. City Council has been dropping the ball for years, and there are a bunch of condemned buildings around town because no one took care of them. Now those buildings are just standing condemned, not even being torn down, because the money has been mismanaged so badly.

But honestly, apart from a few idiots (which every city has), the recent deterioration of the education system (40% dropout rate is way too high) and the mismanagement of the downtown area, it's pretty good place.

Its an army base where over the years lots of shells and explosive devices were tested. Directly south of the proving ground is an island that looks like it would be nice called Poole's Island. It probably would be nice except for years it has been shelled off and on. Over the years there have been numerous times were live shells have been found on the island and various parts of the ground.

Don't forget it was the primary disposal site for mustard gas in the 80's!

I could see the incinerator from my house.

Yeah. They BURNED it.

anyone know how often they update street view ... looking at my house I still see my garage covered in building paper and about 20 clear plastic bags of yard waste piled up at the entrance to my driveway

I don't know, the photo of my area has a street that was just extended just a few months ago so mine is pretty recent.

Same for me (work wise) as Mooger, but I get to drive over the Malahat twice daily which has some pretty gorgeous views.

Not to upset you, but I'd only ever heard the name "Kamehameha" referring to Dragon Ball Z. Sorry.

Current: "The Glebe, Ottawa"

Renting the ground floor of a house thirty seconds from the canal, pretty sweet.

Hometown: Pointe Claire, QC

Great suburb, I can't think of a better place to live, as a kid, if you're into sports. Other than being arguably Canada's aquatics capital, Pointe Claire has produced a few NHLers (Burrows and Benoit Brunet). Also, olympic canoeing bronze medallist Tom Hall and musician Sam Roberts grew up just down the street from me. Oh, and Autumn Phillips, who is now step-child to Queen E.

Can I just say that I think the Demon Deacons is one of the coolest nicknames in all of collegiate sports?

Common misconception.
WFU is not is Wake Forest (I know... makes a lot of sense, eh?)

Used to be, years and years ago (1830's-1950's), before they were given a humongous grant and moved move the campus to Greensboro, NC
(Grant from the Reynolds Foundation... hence "Reynolds Coloseum")

The original baptist seminary in WF from which WFU grew is still there though, and still operational.
