Its an army base where over the years lots of shells and explosive devices were tested. Directly south of the proving ground is an island that looks like it would be nice called Poole's Island. It probably would be nice except for years it has been shelled off and on. Over the years there have been numerous times were live shells have been found on the island and various parts of the ground.
anyone know how often they update street view ... looking at my house I still see my garage covered in building paper and about 20 clear plastic bags of yard waste piled up at the entrance to my driveway

Not to upset you, but I'd only ever heard the name "Kamehameha" referring to Dragon Ball Z. Sorry.
My house is my avatar.
Can I just say that I think the Demon Deacons is one of the coolest nicknames in all of collegiate sports?
Common misconception.
WFU is not is Wake Forest (I know... makes a lot of sense, eh?)
Used to be, years and years ago (1830's-1950's), before they were given a humongous grant and moved move the campus to Greensboro, NC
(Grant from the Reynolds Foundation... hence "Reynolds Coloseum")
The original baptist seminary in WF from which WFU grew is still there though, and still operational.
