I'm watching and apparently a roof collapsed on a building where there was a high school graduation going on. :(

Friday in the aftermath of an 8.9 magnitude earthquake about 80 miles offshore. Television images showed waves of more than 12 feet roaring inland.

So, if there waves were only 12 feet, I'm guessing you are gonna be okay there in Hawaii. Of course, tonight might not be the best for a late night stroll on the beach.

Watching that wave roll through and pushing all that debris was dizzying

The awesome and brutal power of nature on display

Tsunami advisory for the BC coast now as well...Was glued to the tv last night after the Canucks - Sharks game. It really puts things in their proper prospective.

daylight has arrived and so far our island has not seen anything more unusual than a dramatic increase & decrease in tides, no large waves. no widespread damage as reported by CNN, mainland media.
