Another great game
Mets stepped in it again against another inferior team. Peterson was awful.... lasting only 3.2 innings.
That Lindor GIDP in the 7th with the bases loaded and only 1 out when the Mets were down 4-3 was all she wrote in this one.
Buck made things even worse by bringing in Joely for the 8th inning and still only a 1 run game.
By the time he pulled him he gave up 2 more runs and only got 1 out.
Silver linings (if you can call it that)...Pete hit his 33rd bomb....and Givens tossed 2 scoreless innings.

Another winnable game goes by the wayside.
El Choke-o. Mets lose 6-3.

Trainer's Room...
Mets RF Starling Marte (fractured right middle finger) remains day-to-day and hopeful of avoiding a stint on the injured list.

Up Next...
Mets RHP Carlos Carrasco (13-6, 3.91 ERA) will start the middle game of the series on Saturday against RHP Pablo López (8-9, 3.66).

About time.
Couldn't hurt.

Not sure putting Frankie in the 2 hole is gonna work out so well...
Another GIDP to start this game after Nimmo's leadoff single.
Now McNeil & Pete have singled....hope Naquin can cash in here.

LFGM!

edit:
Nope.
Naquin flied out.

No score...mid 1st.

Nice to have an easy one for a change
Yep...exhale...get some much needed rest...and take that rubber game tomorrow.
Hopefully the bats stay hot, and Walker has a nice bounce back start too.
