Jacob deGrom threw 71 pitches in a simulated game in Port St. Lucie on Tuesday. He is expected back in the rotation during the next turn, although it is unclear whether that will be this weekend in Atlanta or early in next week's homestand. Logan Verrett starts in deGrom's place on Tuesday night in Philadelphia. DeGrom's week-old son, Jaxon Anthony, was discharged from the hospital on Monday.

That last one was tough to lose, but at least we got another series win. Kudos to the Phillies bullpen for shutting the Mets down after Hellickson's start.

Good news is, it seems Duda, Cespedes and Walker are locked in. Maybe it was just the ballpark, but hopefully they stay hot. Bullpen has performed admirably overall.

Bad news: Wright looked turrrrible at the plate.

The captain does tend to have some crappy AB's....especially the one's where he makes an out on the 1st pitch...but if Robles doesn't WP that winning run into scoring position.....metsies more than likely would've won it.

Bright side:

4-2 so far on the 9 game road trip ain't too shabby....plus, deGrom will be back on the mound for the Sunday finale in Atlanta.
