But wait...it gets even worse.....

After allowing a double...Robles surrendered a 2 run bomb to make it 6-1, snakes.

But there's more.....Edgin relieved Robles and he also gave up a HR...

It's now 7-1

Oh, it'll be a loss tonight.

I know it's mad early, but I'm going to go ahead and write this year off as lost. Too many key injuries too early, we'll probably never catch Washington, just go ahead and focus on next year and getting everybody back. Make some moves if you must, but no panic moves.

Some good stuff going on right now includes Conforto's development as a major league hitter and Zack Wheeler is pitching decently. Well, I guess that's about it. Oh, besides Jay Bruce hitting, really happy to see him driving in the runs - a quarter into the season and he's on pace to break 100

I know it's mad early, but I'm going to go ahead and write this year off as lost.

I'm gonna be an optimistically guarded hold out by not writing this year off just yet.
My main concern is the FO's complacency and extreme amount of leeway always given to TC and his coaching staff. I realize lots of the woes are on the players..and the injuries....but management has to bear some of the brunt too...even more so imho.
That being said..if we can somehow make up a little ground and stay within decent distance for a wild card and get a few key players back by or before the all star break...who knows..stranger things have happened.
I'll give them until Aug 1st. to see how this bout of inconsistency, dysfunction and adversity makes or breaks them.
Here's hoping for the former. YGB! LGM!

I'm sure you're all gonna be shocked...:heh:....harvey continues to struggle.
The Mets lost again and have been swept in b2b series'....:tsk:

This unfortunate tidbit for Mets fans, from Elias via ESPN Stats & Info: The Mets went 0 for 6 on their just-completed road trip. Last time they went 0-6 or worse on a trip was in September, 1999.

Herrmann's homer lifts D-backs 6-5, Mets' 7th straight loss

They now limp home to face the Angels for 3 this weekend.

Oh joy...rapture!

:rolleyes2:

More of the same for the Mets on Wednesday, namely that Matt Harvey just isn't good right now. He scuffled through 5.1 innings, issuing four walks as his ERA rose to 5.56. Even if they wanted to trade him, good luck finding any takers. The Diamondbacks went on to win on Chris Herrmann's 11th-inning homer off Rafael Montero as they swept the series and handing the Mets their seventh loss in a row.

Mets GM Sandy Alderson reiterated that there are "no current plans" to promote either 1B Dominic Smith or SS Amed Rosario from Triple-A. He joked he'd make an exception if "they can pitch." Smith is hitting .325/.381/.488 for Las Vegas. Rosario is hitting .366/.407/.547.

Alderson was careful when talking about the cavalcade of players that the Mets have on the DL at the moment. "I'm not going to make any predictions about when they're coming back," Alderson said. He did note that there had not been any setbacks, to any players currently on the DL, in the last few days.
