Mets trail 1-0 mid 4th....and are still looking for their 1st hit/baserunner.
Megill gave up a solo HR in the top half....but he's looked pretty good otherwise.

edit:

As I was posting that ^ .......Nimmo just doubled leading off the home 4th.

LGM!

Yes.

Mets have tied it up at 1-1.
Lindor sac bunted Nimmo to 3rd....and Dom Smith hit an rbi sac fly to CF.

Pete goes after the 1st pitch yet again..and grounds out.
( I really wish he'd be just a little more patient once in a while.)

1-1 heading to the 5th.

Mets hitters are making easy outs early in the count in their AB's.....and Woodruff is only at 55 pitches thru 5 innings.

Brewers' hitters are really working the count in their AB's....thru 5 innings Megill is at already at 92 pitches.

And as a result Aaron Loup is now in for the Mets to begin the 6th inning.

edit....
Loup tosses a 1-2-3 6th.

LFGM!

Mets go in order in the 6th....and it only took Woodruff 9 pitches. (he's at 64)

NY still only has the 1 hit. The Crew only have 2.

1-1 tie heading to the 7th...
Seth Lugo coming in.

edit:
Lugo sets them down in order (w/ 2 K's)
Stretch time.

LFGM!

Yes!
Pete smokes a 2 run double to left (on the 1st pitch..lol)

3-1 Mets.

McNeil taps out slowly to the mound.....Pete takes 3rd....and Conforto singles him home...and that chases Woodruff.

4-1 Amazins.

2 force outs end it.

Onto the 8th.

Yikes...Mets had bases loaded with no outs in the 8th...and came away empty.
Pillar flied out too shallow for Guillorme to score from 3rd....Pete GIDP.
I hope that doesn't come back to haunt.

Mets lead 4-1 heading to the 9th.

Diaz coming in.

And I have more of an uneasy feeling about this one now.
Single...and a walk....tying run now at the plate....no outs.

Another single...now a 4-2 game....still no outs...

WTF!

This seems like it'll end very badly and stupid to boot.

edit:
Strikeout...1 down.

again...strikeout.... 2 down.

Put it in the Books.

Mets hold on and win it 4-2.

One time coveted free agent on the Mets' radar....Jackie Bradley Jr. flies out for out #3.

Halfway point of the schedule...game 81.....Mets are 44-37, and in 1st place in the NL east...by 4 games.

Mets take the series opener 4-2
I'm so glad my fears became unfounded....*(posts 53 & 54)

The Wrap/Recap....

The Box....

The Pics....

Trainer's room....

Mets RHP Carlos Carrasco, sidelined all season by a strained right hamstring, practiced fielding from the Citi Field mound. He is scheduled to throw live batting practice in the next few days and then probably begin a minor league rehab assignment. Manager Luis Rojas said Carrasco might be able to join the Mets by the end of July.
Acting general manager Zack Scott said it's possible Carrasco and RHP Noah Syndergaard (Tommy John surgery) could be activated without being fully stretched out, hinting one or both could be used out of the bullpen.
3B J.D. Davis (sprained left hand) is on a rehab assignment at Triple-A Syracuse and could rejoin the Mets this weekend.
With LHP David Peterson (right side soreness) on the injured list, Rojas said Robert Stock is "a strong option" to make a spot start Wednesday in the series finale. Rojas also mentioned RHP Nick Tropeano, another recent minor league acquisition.
RHP Dellin Betances is scheduled for season-ending shoulder surgery Wednesday.

Up next....

Mets ace Jacob deGrom (7-2) looks to lower his major league-best 0.95 ERA in the middle game of the series Tuesday night.
LHP Brett Anderson (2-5, 4.69) comes off the injured list ( bruised knee) for Milwaukee.

Pete heating up at a perfect time. Conforto always seems to be a second half guy so would love for him to really heat up too.
