tell me im wrong

really

its true...strike shortened titles are a bit more hollow...but still titles

if the giants won a SB on an 8 game season...would you expect that "short season*" from us?

yup

And I'd expect you to not say "you're right"

And shit, I'm the only Boston Basher left, and I'd didn't even know it was a shortened season

rock......why do you do shit like this?

:wtf2:

every team played the same number of games, the title would mean nothing less

you trying to say you would have been a little humble if the B's won because they played less than 50 regular season games?

was the 2004 Sox any less because they needed a wild card?

dude, they played 48 of 82 games

a lot...and you know this...a lot can happen in 34 games

guys get hurt, teams streak or fade

i am NOT taking away from the cup win...id be excited if the bruins won...

but its still a strike shortened year

you really think martin st louis wins a scoring title at 38 in an 82 game season?

you REALLY think craig anderson would be the vezina winner (which he may be) after 82 games?

I remind Devils fans about that (95) all the time........

Hawks were the best team most of the year. They didn't go undefeated for the first 20+ games because of luck. The best team doesn't often win but it did this time. But the Bruins aren't far behind.

Dude you got a first round pick for a coach who has done nothing but underachieved

gratz

Underachieved?

That roster + the constant injuries =/= Contending in the playoffs, IMO...

Doc was able to do so..

Any team in the league (save the Spurs) should love that deal.

Pop is the only coach I can think of more valuable than a first rounder ... though i do think the guy from Chicago is gonna be a really good one too (still not worth a first round pick, especially UN-PROTECTED, anything can happen)

Thibodeau. I'd love to have him, but I think he's close to being "elite" status. My guess is George Karl wouldn't be interested and too pricey.

Lot of playoff teams lost their coaches so maybe they can land someone good. Otherwise - Vinny Del Blake or Avery Johnson, welcome to Boston.

And no summation of a lost Celtics season would be complete with the old standby "constant injuries." My Dad taught me a long time ago that the only injuries that count are ones that happen to Celtics players. No one else.

He (or most fans of the winning side) wouldn't say it but have to recognize that a lot of things could have happen during the missing games. Key injuries that could affect the outcome later on. Though you still have to succeed in the playoffs to end up champs, they should all have an * next to strike shortened championships.
