They've been playing .500 ball ever since Cervelli and Wells stopped carrying their offense.

Yeah...this is who they are...

But the Blue Jays being on fire and getting an All Star back, "isn't who they are"

Noone loses the big one like Boston

Don't forget the pride and tradition of wearing the pinstripes that usually carries them into October

According to Dirt, if the Bruins had held that lead last night they would have won the Stanley Cup. I didn't know he was such a huge Bruins fan.

Lol.

Zero balls!

One of the highest payrolls in baseball

"what a great story"

less than 12 months from completely blowing up the team...and they make the playoffs? Fuck the payroll...I'm looking at the entire process..this was supposed to be a year that they just treaded water while some arms and bats developed in the system...and they were supposed to be a .500-ish team..

And they still might be only that...

Yeah...I'll be pleased...tell you what, I'll let you be miserable about it for me.

So if they exceed my expectations...I have no balls if I'm pleased they exceeded my expectations..

Glad we're back to "W.S. champions or failure"

I'll be sure to let cashman know you think he sucks again.

Matt Harvey sucks? What is that even referencing?

:laugh3:

You said it

I said I would take Matt Harvey to start a team over any pitcher in baseball

Kershaw in the discussion

You ripped me for 2 days with that comment, and anyone that dis-agrees is clueless

Well I thought the pitching matchup was an advantage for Toronto and with how hot they have been that they could pull it out.

Well Rock has requested that I jinx bet the Bluejays often.
i bet he did..

reported..

According to Dirt, bruins colasally choked last night in a way that had Tom Brady shaking his head

That's all Dirt said

Buch being injured (again), Lester pitching like Phil Hughes, Elsbury playing worse than 4th outfielder Gardner, WMB being a complete MLB failure... is who the Red Sox are!

own it, love it, embrace it!

I still think the division top to bottom will be 10 or less games...not really counting anyone out...just commenting that if dirt doesn't know that Yanks teams is solid pitching, offensively neutered .500-ish team by now? he'll never learn...

No shot at the division...still think it's the O's...then some order of Bos/NY then Jays/Tampa

They're hot right now...we get it...

I still hate their starting pitching, and still think that lineup will be a roller coaster ride...

They still have the feel of a low 80-ish win team to me...like Tampa...

If they can add an SP? A significant one? Then we can talk...but until they do, they're not going to sustain this very long.

meh.. the pitching i am cool with. especially with reinforcements coming. the pen is shut down.
the offense is only gonna get better with reyes and lawrie returning. i see a few more runs like the one they are on now. and that is what i believe will separate them from the rest.
