You don’t want to incur the wrath of AG and the 86 sticky pics of Petersen he has in a Washington year.
Oh dear lord no, it's startling how many pictures he has of the guy

Top 10 in the game right now

1. Saban - duh
2. Urban - duh
3. Dabo - duh
4. Smart - His 2017 season followed by his 2018 recruiting class is amazing. He will win a title soon
5. Dantonio - 6/8 seasons this decade of double digit wins at Michigan State is incredible; only 2 such seasons before 2010
6. Franklin - Rejuvenated the program entirely from it's darkest days, they are now a national power
7. Petersen - Doing a solid job at Wisconsin but needs to take the next step and capture a big OOC win soon
8. Jimbo - Has a NC but is definitely on the decline. Will need a monster debut at A&M to retain top 10 status IMO
9. Chryst - 34 wins in 3 seasons with multiple ranked OOC wins at Wisconsin is extremely impressive
10. Riley - Monster 1st year, we'll see how he does post-Mayfield

Chryst seems high. .500 record prior to going into the machine that is Wisconsin football. Seems that a lot of coaches look good when Alevarez is behind them.

Riley took over team that was a preseason Playoff favorite and got them to the playoffs and imploded in the second half there. Can't put a guy with 1 season in a top 10 that met preseason expectations.

With a Heisman quarterback he inherited.

In Chryst's defense. he took over a program that had the previous coach recruit outside normal Wisconsin parameters and improved the team immediately.

With steady improvement over 3 years and now a likely preseason top 5 team, I can't find anyone with a better resume to put over him, though. Also, he was .500 at Pitt, but he also was the coach that ushered them into the ACC, so that wasn't easy. If he gets a real QB in place at Wisconsin, look out.

Oklahoma wasn't a preseason playoff favorite, they were 7th in the nation. The favorites were Bama, OSU, USC, and FSU, with PSU and Clemson right outside.

He took over an 11-3 team and went 10-3 in season 1. Going deeper than that Wisconsin still has the same blue print. They run the ball well, play good defense, and struggle passing the ball. Not to mention Pitt has a slightly better year record, since he left. Its hard to separate how much is Chryst growing as a coach, from how much is he benefiting from Alvarez's influence..

OU was the easy favorite in the Big12. They 1 game they were dogs and lost 1 head scratcher. They lost 2 games this year, the same as the 2 previous years. This time with a seasoned QB and OL. If you asked OU fans in April of last year this is probably were their expectations were. When he was hired I said he inherited a tough situation. The only way to exceed expectations would be a trip to the NC.

Damn on the 4th page & that trustmeimright fella hasn't explained in detail that Jimmy Jam's 1 of the bestest CFB coaches in the country because he played in the NFL & had more success as a HC in the NFL than Saban!?!?!?

@4down20: Jimmy Jam >>>> Saban  (you better recognize)

They were the favorites in the Big 12 but they weren't playoff favorites. The other 4 conferences were all represented ahead of the Big 12, two of them represented twice. Hell in the coaches poll, there were 2 ACC, 2 B1G, and 2 Pac12 teams along with Bama ranked ahead of OU to start the year. Them making the playoff was definitely a surprise based on what they were supposed to do at the beginning of the year.
