We face the home crowd again (second of three-game homestead), this time against the lowly Niners. After the inexcusable display we put on against the Cardinals, I think it's safe to say: We go down this week, this season is done. Can any kind of fire be lit under this team to keep them from making stupid penalties, or from blowing any lead they may get?

We'll find out Sunday.

Can't lose this game, just on general principle.

We're already done I feel. Best case scenario 11-5 at this point? Eh I guess that's still fair game but our OL is so trash, Wilson is having his worst year for sure, Lynch is constantly banged up, the the D just doesn't seem to give a crap. We still have St. Louis, Arizona (away), Minnesota (away) as well. Steelers' pass rush is playing crazy right now as well and their offense is one of the best in the league.

Win this and we're back in the WC race and hope and pray the Bengals can beat AZ (not likely). Lose this and we're screwed.

In '84 we were 12-4 after coming into the season with some pretty huge expectations after 9-7 and a trip to the AFCC the prior year. We followed that up with a really disappointing '85 season where we got Curt Warner back (who was not the same after blowing out his knee) and went through all 16 games winning 2 then losing 2 to finish 8-8. That team looked good at times but just couldnt get it on track, despite having a considerable amount of talent. This season is starting to feel a lot like that one. we've lost 2, won 2 so far through 9 games and need to get this W to break that string.

That's pretty much been 90% of all Seahawks seasons since the team was founded.

Seattle -12.5 is the line on this one. Easiest money this season has been betting against the Seahawks to cover. They've only done it twice. Once against a Bears team that wasn't even trying and once against the Niners with Kraep playing. Gabbert is an upgrade for Santa Clara. They still won't score many points, but neither will Seattle. Something like 20-10 in favor of Seattle sounds about right, but it could easily swing in the favor of the Niners if a few things go their way.

A whole lot of things would need to go right for SF to win this game. They are awful. Granted they've had injuries, off field issues and a tough schedule to deal with. But can't see them pulling this one out. 49ers get a top 10 pick this year. Possibly top 5 as they only have one or two more games I see them winning; Browns and Lions?

Redemption or bust? I don't think beating the Niners would give us any redemption. It might stem the bleeding for a week but that's about it. The only redemption we'll see is if the team rips off a series of wins starting on Sunday. Even that may not be enough without some help from other teams at this point.

Yeah we lose this season is over... Seahawks basically have to win out... Either they get hot and find a groove soon or the 2015 campaign is done... Right now something is just off with this team, way too many blown play's and lack of discipline...

Like Old Bill Says "Do your Job"

Don't go aggressively after picks (Sherman on 1st Floyd Score)
Keep your hands off (Wags on Jaron Brown)
Go after the Ball. Look what happened when we did (Strip Sack Fumble, TD 2 plays later and Strip sack fumble and TD)
And something I learned from the 1st special O Nationals i went to for Curling.

DO NOT LET UP. IF YOUR FOOT IS ON THE GAS. KEEP THE PRESSURE UP

I want to see Seattle open it up and put the game in Wilson's hands and see if he crumbles or rises to the occasion.
