great bye week for ND. they should jump a couple spots. utah getting killed hurts them big time and we beat USC. GT helped us and knocked off FSU. good week boys.

5 more spots and we got it. 4 teams ahead of us play each other. so thats another 2 spots.

In my mind, it comes down to conferences not individual teams. If we win out, the PAC-12 is done. If FSU beats Clemson it could be a toss up with the ACC. If Oklahoma wins out that could take out the Big-12. Utah and FSU losing was big for us. If Stanford wins out until ND, I think we are in.

nd has a clear shot at the pac12 bid. now we need one of the other big 4 conferences to get a 2 loss champ. looks difficult right now but so much ftball left

If Ole Miss wins out they will win the SEC West with two losses so it's not so far fetched and I think they could beat any of the teams in the SEC East, even Florida who they lost to.

the problem is that a 1 loss bama or lsu will still get a bid without a conference title. i guarantee it

i thought the new rules say they cant. u have to be a conference champ if u have a championship. i might be wrong.

These next 2 weeks will be crucial. Looking like 2 road games against top 20 opponents

I think the argument would be that if you lose to Ole Miss and don't even win your division you aren't one of the 4 best teams in the country because I don't believe Ole Miss is.

I can't see them keeping out a power 5 champ in favor of a team that lost it's division and didn't win it's conference. It won't happen if Ole Miss win's out the SEC will get left out of the playoff.

They were 10 or 11 in most polls and with Utah and Florida State both losing it would make sense that they end up at 8 or 9.

In the top 10 with a bunch of teams still to play one another. Ohio State vs Michigan State, TCU vs Baylor, Alabama vs LSU, Notre Dame vs Stanford. As I see it Notre Dame with winning out Notre Dame would move up to #5 so they will still need a little help from someone.
