Notre Dame is actually favored against Michigan State by 7

My biggest concern is MSU having an extra week to prepare for this game.

I don't think a week off this early is that important. They played one game against a team that is no where near as fast on either side of the ball as we are. Then they had a week off. They might not be ready to face our speed. That's why its important we get off to a fast start.

The only advantage is they'll probably be a little more rested than us.

I actually think it might hurt more then help with the bye. ND has had 2 weeks of playing under their belt and had a chance to get some of the wrinkles out where as MSU struggles and hasn't had a chance to see if the fixes worked. Bye week this early isn't a benefit.

They're a pro style offense. We'll be fine. They scored 28 against furman at home. There is nothing to be concerned about when it comes to our defense in this game. I think 21-24 points is enough to win this game.

Hell, after seeing another debacle <you hear me, BVG?>, we're looking at Sun Bowl or Music City Bowl, if we're really lucky.

having trouble winning the big games. lost the last 3 big games.

Im not saying fire Kelly because he has done a good job but he needs to land a top DC and start landing more top talent on D. If Kelly doesn't fire VG then he needs to go. Its time to make a big move kelly.

Like I said I don't blame Kelly for the 1st half. 2-3 turnovers is not on him. Its the 2nd half I blame Kelly. He went conservative and didn't trust Kizerr. 4th Q and he is running back to back plays is just silly. Then he doesn't go for it.

Last thing F these refs. They missed 4 big time calls that would of helped ND. ND didn't get any calls. Im not saying they cost us the game the D did that but they didn't help.

I'm like is there a more disappointing team to a fan base more than our Irish ... OU immediately came to mind. Hell, they prolly feel worse. Expectations were super high for the Sooners this year and their early losses have shown they may be more overrated than us.

I'm like is there a more disappointing team to a fan base more than our Irish ... OU immediately came to mind. Hell, they prolly feel worse. Expectations were super high for the Sooners this year and their early losses have shown they may be more overrated than us.

OU has been consistently good for well over a decade. Many a 10 win season and conference title. When we beat them in 2012 that was something like their only 4th home loss in 10 years.

They've won NY6 bowls (over Alabama no less) and have been to playoffs.

We've had 2 10+ wins in 10 years and can count on one hand the number of them since 1992.

Their fan base is frustrated because they haven't been back to the NC but they have been solid and part of the conversation since 1999. We have been part of the conversation for 1.5 seasons.
