Maybe they'll only beat us by 30 the week after now instead of 40

Navy to Host Notre Dame Football Game for 1st Time in 94 Years Due to COVID-19

They are finally going to play Navy in Annapolis.

Damn the torpedos, full speed ahead!
Uh, actually it’s Navy that chooses to play their “home” games in NFL stadiums or overseas. It’s their biggest money game and Navy’s stadium is too small. They make way more money playing at Lincoln Financial, Fed Ex Field Jacksonville or San Diego (where there are huge Navy fanbases).

Pretty neat. Might try to get to this one if they allow fans.

Navy "chooses " stadiums where Notre Dame can get as many of their fans to attend. Notre dame calls the shots. Just like if USC wanted to play Bama it was only going to be at a "neutral" site. Everyone at USC would have rather played home and home.
Notre Dame uses this game as a recruiting tool and Navy is along for the ride. This is just a different year because of all that's going on.

lol wait...how did I not know this? You mean those little weenies have been telling me for the last decade how important this game was and they don't even play them in Annapolis? How did I miss this? lol, it makes it even more funny that they call that a rivalry. That's how Michigan treats EMU.

Yeah, we will see about that when the military takes to the streets. Navy will dominate.

You know the “visiting” team has no say where the home team chooses to play right? We’re not making Navy do this every year. They still get the majority allotment of tickets for those games. Whst happens after market is what it is. But why would Navy choose to play in its 34,000 seat stadium when it can double the capacity and make twice as much. No other opponent on their schedule, save Army, can allow them to do that.

We most often play Navy in Philadelphia or NY. Places we already recruit well out of.

Yeah take 2018. Pretty please, let’s fly from one coast to another and back in 3 weeks. That would be great for our players!

Yeah Buddy...You are spot on. ND tries to do that with everybody, in some form or another). When we first had a two-game deal with them...It was for on game in South Bend and one game in either Jax, Orlando or Tampa. (We picked
Orlando) When the two schools tried to reup the series ND wanted the same thing, we wanted Home and Home. ND
refused. Then ND offered Neutral site for Neutral site...then we rfused. ND wanted any of the 3 cities as before
and they wanted 30K tickets. We laughed at them and actually told them to go play Army. Which they did. Then they
had some cancellation and scheduled us again about 6 years later home and Home.

They also will dictate months to play. We would have been the situation that they now have with Stanford. When USC
plays at SOuth Bend in late October, early November we would play them in late November or December. When USC
played them at home we would go to South Bend in late October or early November. We balked at that also. We told
them if we play in South Bend in late October or early November then they will come to Tally in Early September. They didn't want any part of that.

Now we don't have to worry about it. Although many of the ACC schools get suckered into playing their home game
at some neutral site stadium for the ticket sales.

Apparently there's alot you don't know about ND. Especially in terms of this rivalry.

LOL, "Everyone" at USC? LOL we already committed to playing at Jerry World in 2016. You johnny come lately bitches accepted the invitation, there wasn't any other discussion. If you are referring to this year's contest, can you blame them? Why would we commit to playing you two years, you shit the best last time and you aren't looking too good for this one and you have a coach who shouldn't have made it out of last season. No offense, but we can get a lot more bang for our buck elsewhere. That's why you have 5 home and homes on your future schedule(4 of which are ND, LOL) and we have 10 home and homes in addition to the two neutral site games, people know what they are getting with us.

Whats going to happen to the USC/Gump game? Has Bama already found another opponent for that game?

Bama fan- we're not scared to play at OOC house.
Question- how many times with 54 slots to play one has Saban scheduled and played one.
Bama fan- none. Lol

You play Chattanooga and Citadel type teams all at home and wanna say you play neutral game only for money. Lol. As if having Ohio State or Michigan or USC with thier fans wouldn't light up the cash registers in Tuscalusa. Lol

...and yet we have 10 home and homes scheduled at P5 schools on our future schedule and the only one you have on yours not named Notre Dame is Ole Miss...

Yet somehow you've managed to get Nevada, New Mexico, San Jose State twice, Fresno State twice, BYU and Rice all to come to LA.

LOL, anyone anywhere, as long as it's not South Bend in November....

USC and Notre Dame...making each other relevant since they WERE relevant.

I don't want to imply that you're an idiot, but if you think playing 2 neutral site games at $5 million plus a pop, is worse financially than playing 1 home game at $7 million a pop, you might not be the best steward of your own money, you might want to consult a fiduciary.
