#1 - 1st half MVP: Dustin Pedroia...combination of playing everyday, "sterling defense" great baserunning just edges out Papi...interestingly...and contridictive, he said Papi would hurt them more if they lost him for the year...no idea how he came to this 2 conclusions.

#2 - Red Sox are not at all in on Garza...hopefully he's right.

#3 - He expects Bailey to be the closer again by August 1st, and the Sox to add a couple more bullpen arms, though he thinks De La Rosa will be there shortly as one of them...

I'd assume he recognizes the importance Papis protection in that lineup and how it effects his success
