Patience is a virtue. No need to rush things. Having the board vote on things causes way too much chaos and you have to have slotted times so guys know when to be on.

Oh please people even when we have slotted times we still have guys not make there selection.

Just my two cents, not having time slots I would imagine the draft would die by the 4th round 99 times out of 100. We have tried it that way years ago on cBS and it just didn't work.

Slotted time is important for the unfortunate retired GM. Otherwise allotting time for the War Room would be difficult scheduling around a frantic day of Bass fishing in the morning, 18 holes in the afternoon, arriving on time for the "All You Can Eat Sr, Citizens Earlybird Shrimp and falling asleep in the chair by 7:15pm...... Exhausting

To be fair this has only happened a couple times, it just seems worse because the couple times it has its been for many hours.

And when Oakland does show up he will be asked to leave a list as 3rd time is not the charm, even though he is free to use his time slot we should not have to wait every day for the same team, leave a list and it all goes away. We will not wait 3 times for the same person, the 3rd time it happens where the team hasnt left a list or checked in they will be given 1 hour if they do not pick within that hour I will pick for them. With the boards help of course.

I understand that, I do. However IF the GM checks in once in awhile he would know roughly when there OTC. Step 2 having that assistant GM will help if the GM hasn't logged on for awhile. Step 3. Leave that list just in case. If they were serious they would have a list. I know I will pick in 15 picks then I give a list for 15 players I want in order. Doesn't have to be 200 but just enough until their next pick.

I understand that. But again the way you are talking we could get through 12 picks or we could get through 50 picks in a day. It would just be hard to gauge when your pick is coming up. It is nice for guys who can be on here on a more regular basis like you and me but for those guys that maybe check this a couple of times a day it would be a nightmare trying to figure out when they pick and how many players they would need to send in a list. These early rounds it wouldn't be that big of a deal considering people could probably come up with a list around 30 players because these are all the well known guys. When we actually have to do some digging later on in the draft coming up with 5 guys can be a challenge.

Sorry guys.. The Safety is the new Man of NFL Ds.. He can get to the QB, stop the RUN, run with the TEs, and play the WRs.. If you look around the NFL great S play is a must.. Bucannon can play FS and SS.. He will be a steal this year.. imo
