I'm looking to move up in the 2nd. If anyone is interested in moving down.
There is still one player Im looking at with the Bucs and if he is gone then Id be willing to trade down

Yeah the big thing with him is not sure you can actually expect anything from him this season. He is a year 2 and 3 kind of guy. Good player and could end up being the best quarterback in this draft but one that as a team you are starting a back up first year while he recovers.

I'd be shocked if Mettenberger lasts until the 4th...

I could not agree more... I would do cartwheels if the Vikes took him early in the 3rd.

It would make sense for them to take him as they have some very good weapons that he can build with when he gets healthy. Plus they are not going to the Super Bowl this next year without some kind of act of God happening so looking a year or two into the future for them makes sense. Same with Cleveland I guess you could say of knowing they are not going this next year.

As I said i'd like him to go to the Vikings with 3.8 but I just have a feeling he goes middle to late round 2.

Yeah with quarterbacks being taken earlier than they should somebody is going to trade back into the 2nd round to get him. He is just too much on the potential scale not to have somebody want him in the 2nd. Heck I could see even a team like New England who could be losing Mallett have this year thinking about taking him and having him develop behind Tom Brady. They have similar styles so it could be a pretty seemless transition to him.

Not to beat a dead horse but we have had 4 teams draft today and one was at a little after midnight. 4 picks in 15.5 hours there has to be a better way then this.

When you come up with it let me know. If you make the time shorter you'll be skipping 15 teams per round. I cant change the draft times after they have already been posted for the day. Remember we are scheduled to do 12 picks a day and i'll bet my left seed we get at least that many done.

My suggestion no allotted draft time. Once a team picks the next team OTC has 1hr. If the team (GM or assistant GM) doesn't pick, then you use there list provided, if no list is provided then the board does a majority ruling of who they should take.

Hard part about that though is somebody could be 20 picks down the road and not think they are going to be up for the day as in those later rounds it really is hard to come up with 20-30 players you would want to draft. Not everybody makes a big board with 200 or more players on it. But let's say the 19 teams ahead of them happen to be on or left a list and go in a matter of an hour. Then all of a sudden that person and everyone after them is in trouble to make their picks.

An example would be me with the Broncos. Here pretty soon I have to leave to go coach golf. If we were right where we are I would assume there is no chance that we are getting to the Broncos pick today. Now given in round 2 I already have a list long enough to cover to my pick but again you get in those later rounds it gets a little tougher to come up with a list that long.

Patience is a virtue. No need to rush things. Having the board vote on things causes way too much chaos and you have to have slotted times so guys know when to be on.

I understand that, I do. However IF the GM checks in once in awhile he would know roughly when there OTC. Step 2 having that assistant GM will help if the GM hasn't logged on for awhile. Step 3. Leave that list just in case. If they were serious they would have a list. I know I will pick in 15 picks then I give a list for 15 players I want in order. Doesn't have to be 200 but just enough until their next pick.
