Well my list had him at 29. So not sure how he got ranked that low. Oh well its a mock draft.

I'm guessing that since everyone uses different lists the ratings will be slightly off although sometimes it's way off and I don't get that.

Phillip Gaines Draft Profile ? NFL.com

NFL.COM has Gaines going undrafted.

Sorry I posted this on the wrong thread originally. Can you delete my other one without draft penalties?

NFL.com said UDFA because he doesn't have desirable speed, yet he ran a 4.38 at the combine. I wonder when that report was written and by whom.

Field speed is very different from 40 time. Jerry Rice ran like a 4.7.

Not sure why you used Rice who was a madman in the gym and ran the best routes of maybe any receiver the game has ever seen. Did you read the comments on NFL.com for Gaines? All four comments questioned whoever wrote the profile. I'm happy with the pick after seeing his combine results.

And seriously, they questioned his speed and he ran a 4.38, that leads me to believe whoever wrote the profile didn't really have a clue.

Agreed but now I have a chip on my shoulder for the young man, i'll be paying attention to where he goes in the draft and how he does as a pro.

I used Jerry Rice because his field time was incredible...but his 40 time was molasses. I used Rice because I knew his 40 time without looking it up and could use it as an example.

I could have used Leonard Hankerson who ran a 4.38 I believe but his field speed is much slower.

I'm not saying it's a good pick...I was using a source that you said you use. Time will tell and there are a million sources out there but there are always variances (extreme).

Nos what you think of Michael Mauti? I got his Vikings jersey hanging on my PSU man cave wall.

You used receivers, Gaines is a corner, good speed is very important in a corner not really as important in a receiver unless you just run go patterns all day. Corners have to catch up, 4.38 tells me he probably has the ability to catch up.

I have to be honest I don't know a lot about him, not sure why they signed Brinkley. But with Audie Cole on the roster and the thought they might draft another ILB he might find it difficult to spend much time on the field.

One other thing about Gaines, the Vikes don't need him to start right away. With Rhodes who was pretty good as a rook and now the signing of Munnerlyn and Josh Robinson looking to play a bigger role this year he will get a chance to learn and won't be thrown into the fire day one.

Best draft goes to Redskins: A+
2. OT Richardson
3. WR Robinson
3. C Swanson
4. More awesomeness to come
5. More more awesomeness to come
5. Maybe surprise and early pick that I would've taken in 6th but
don't have that pick anymore.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Eagles draft: B+
1. WR Cooks
2. DT Jernigan
3. SS Dixon
4. Another good value player
5. Another need filled player
7. QB to replace Foles who they find out is a 1 hit wonder

I actually like the Eagles draft more than the Skins draft. Looks like the Skins are drafting early again in 15.

Kind of agree with NOS. According to NFL.COM Tuitt has the 13th highest grade in the draft and I think he will be very good.

IF Skins o-line can keep RG3 healthy and give him some time in the pocket then I see them finishing 10+ wins. However I predict a 8-8 season. 2015 Redskins will have a full draft with all there picks and it should be great seeing what they can do.
