My issue with Smith is he gets alot of help in this type of system. Good defense with a strong running game and he really doesn't have to do anything. Its the same situation he had his last couple years in SF. He isn't going to go downfield or throw into any sort of coverage. He will take his dump offs and checkdowns all day. That is great when you have a strong defense and running game to rely on but would he have any sort of success on another team without these strengths? No way. He is what he always has been, a mediocre talent who is a great game manager. I wonder if Dwayne Bowe has talked to Michael Crabtree about how much it sucks watching your talent being wasted with this guy as your QB.

That being said, I do like seeing KC have success. They are a classic franchise with alot of tradition and a great fanbase. Its good for the NFL when the Chiefs are doing well. Good luck the rest of the way Chiefs fans.

How the fuck was this game on Smith? 100% on the Defense for the Chiefs. Maybe a bit of Reid in there.

Yeah, personally I thought that might have been Smith's finest game as a Chief. He was throwing down field unlike I have seen him do all year long.

You didn't watch the game did you? Because if you did, you wouldn't pick this week to call him captain checkdown, he was airing it out.

Alex had a great game. This KC loss is more about the Chiefs' D in failing to stop the Chargers' offense from scoring.

Oh KC. I was one of FEW calling them a joke on their undefeated stretch. They haven't played ANYONE all year.... and all the sudden lose to two decent teams.

KC is a joke. Will be laughing as they go 1/done playoffs thanks to a joke schedule. Least it'll be funny watching fat man Reid talking in the press conference like there's a future for this clown team.

Holy shit! And you have the nerve to talk about breaker.

you do know the Chiefs won 2 games last year and have 9 wins already, correct? Just wondering if your basing it on a team to go 2-14 then go 16-0....then you nailed it, good call.

Nope, your right, their the joke..how dare they win that many games after winning only 2. Your the prognosticator extraordinare, thanks.

I don't think KC has what it takes to make it to the super bowl. But anyone calling them a "joke" is really revealing themselves as an idiot.

You can not fault Alex Smith for the Chiefs loss. yes he threw an INT to allow the Chargers to score a TD but did he play defense and allow them to score more points? Was he on the field when the defender completely was beaten in to the corner of the end zone because he thought he had safety help and the Chargers receiver caught the ball and won the game?

Bowe has been wasting his talent for far longer than Smith has been around, beast mode lmao.

D Bowe can waste his own talent with any QB...if it isn't a soft tossing, hit him in the hands every time QB, he is lost..

Last time D Bowe made a highlight reel, besides on the Riverside PD car cam, was after he was drafted and they put up plays of his in college after the pick.

Hell, to be honest they're close to exceeding my expectations for this season anyways. Let's face it, getting to a wild card is a definite step up from last season, so I have no complaints. Next season I'd have the bar set higher...

I don't think anyone expected them to beat out Denver to win the division, so getting the wild card is actually admirable in my opinion. And the Chargers are probably the best team with a losing record in the NFL...

I actually have to agree with this. I was just hoping for something watchable after the disaster of 2012. Surpassed just about everyone's expectations but the homers.

I honestly wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes. The Chargers haven't won on a 2 minute drill drive in so long I can't even remember. They've blown quite a few games this year, but this was a sweet win.
