Not saying I wanted the Mariners to get him, but isn’t he another one of the types of guys Jerry was saying they needed a couple weeks back, a lefty.

Yes but he wouldn't work for free.

The Mets and Tommy Pham have agreed to terms, says SNY's Andy Martino.

Jon Heyman reports that it's a one-year, $6 million contract. Pham will be joining his sixth big-league team at age 35. He still has strong exit velocity numbers, but they've produced a subpar 93 OPS+ over the last three years, and he's mostly limited to left field at this point. He's destined to be a fourth outfielder in New York.

The Red Sox and Adam Duvall are in agreement on a one-year, $7 million contract, according to MassLive's Chris Cotillo.

Duvall is 34 and coming off a rough season in which he hit just .213/.276/.401 in 86 games before undergoing wrist surgery. He'd be more likely to help the Red Sox as a platoon corner outfielder against lefties. As is, though, he's likely to get the bulk of the playing time in center against both lefties and righties initially. Mixed league value probably isn't in the cards

So in the end it was a three team trade:

M's get: David Phelps

Marlins Get: Luis Arraez

Twins Get: Pablo Lopez

Everybody is happy...

Was Lopez a highly ranked prospect? I honestly don’t recall, just remember seeing the list (can’t remember where) the Mariners had an all star team of former prospects they traded away

Not in Top 20. This one had him as a C+

See that’s how I remembered it that he has just a toss in prospect for a trade much like Chris Taylor. Two studs that Mariners could use over the useless players they got back. Unless it is with the Padres, I don’t feel Jerry, or I guess now Hollander ever get value out of the deal. They just do it for their fix. I think the Teoscar and Wong trades but neither needed to happened and have set themselves up to lose both. And since Jerry doesn’t ever shut up, it is seems 2026 is the year where Ford and Young are up on the roster to play 2B and 3B. And Celestine will be knocking on the door. Maybe this is what the off-season was is they are waiting on those two plus Marlowe or DeLoach. I don’t know, I’m trying to find a positive with this crappy straw I’m grasping at.

Braves have developed very well. We may have our version of Acuna in Julio but do we also have an Albies, Harris or Riley?

Looking at our system, I do not see that at all but hope I am wrong
