I love Zobrist and Johnny Cueto is a bonafide ace and one of the best pitchers in baseball. He has had a 2.51 ERA from 2011-2015. Off of the top of my head, I believe the only pitcher with a lower ERA during that timespan is Clayton Kershaw.
Wathing the Cubs game and just heard their announcer say something more dumb than anything Sims has ever said. He said, "With the first inning home run, Fowler has just set a career milestone with his 500th career run". Wouldn't every run every player gets be a career milestone? SMH
Boy the Rangers gave up a shit load to get Hamels. I get that he is an ace and under team control until 2019, but he is being paid $23.5m a year and is on the wrong side of 30.
I think the Rangers will regret making this deal.
I get that they are trying to win now, but they would've been better off simply giving some free agent pitcher nearly $24m a year this offseason. They could've landed someone younger and better without having to give up all of those prospects.
