Bynum and his agents have said that Bynum will no work out for teams that would want to sign him. That is red flag material to me. If fully healthy he is a legit top 2 center. If not he can be distraction to his team. We all know he is 7ft tall so someone is going to take a chance and pay more than he is worth. My question is should a contender sign him or should a team that is not quite there yet sign him hoping he can make them a contender?

I think teams might be interested in a 1 yr league minimum type of deal. He probably wants 10 mil a year and lol at that

Bynum would have been seeking a max deal this year if he stayed healthy. I would be so mad at my knees.

I just figured you meant in general that Bynum has said he does not like to work out so has not done it in years.

As is, yea red flag material.

I agree, Clayton. No workouts means no big time offers. 1yr deal with a bunch of incentives where he can make extra cash.

When a team lets a guy go and then trades their all star for a projcet big with an injury...

Bynum is likely just broken goods

I think everyone else will be thinking the same thing and offer him a little more therefore starting up a bidding war. Anyone think he will get more than 3 mil a year?

Yes and no. The sixers are also trying to be bad this year.

It really begs the question - Why won't he work out? If I'm a GM, my interest went from "hmmm... let's have a look see" to "good luck in all your future endeavors Andrew". He's hiding something or he's a flake. Neither is good.

I have no idea if the contract is even legal to do so but I'd sign him to a 1 year, 8 mil deal and if he meets certain requirements, the team has the right to invoke a 2 year team option that pays him 12 to 14 mil for the final 2 years.

Bynum has degenerative knee issues (worse than Amare's). They won't get better and Mitch is looking like a genius right now trading him out of LA. He shouldn't make more than $3 mil this season, but someone is going to gamble considering half the teams in the NBA are clueless regarding their front office management.

Sad. The big version of Brandon Roy.

Andrew Bynum was a huge red flag way before the 'no workout' statement.

I don't know what he is trying to do. The guy is injury prone to the max. What team will take a blink risk to sign him?

Bynum said last summer he doesn't care if he's traded because there's a bank in every city. I guess because he's 7 foot 1, he feels he's entitled to a big NBA contract regardless if he plays or nots. It's his right....
