I thought his game winning TD run was pretty remarkable. Very smart and athletic play.

Come to think of it, it also might be kind of disgraceful to the NFL General Board that there isn't a thread about the Dez Bryant/Jason Whitten altercation on the bench that was "settled" by Ware. :wtf2:

The TD play was outstanding, moreso b/c it seemed to be an improvised play.

Judging by Reggie Bush's reaction, I'm pretty positive everyone on the Lions was expecting a spike as well. Good heads-up play by Stafford. Love to see killer instinct out of your QB.

Stafford's pot game interview reveals that indeed was his own idea. He saw he only had a couple inches to go so he made the decision. Gutsy as fuck. Love that he's a Detroit Lion. He has things to work on still, but that was a helluva performance.

He had some lol's through the game. But those last 2 throws were absolutely perfect, and right when they needed to be.

During the live broadcast you could see Stafford talking with a teammate and by his body language he was suggesting that he noticed the defense was not paying attention. You can see Stafford slump his shoulders down and drop his head back in an exaggerated expression of the defense and then Stafford jumps up and pretends to put the ball across the endzone again.

Anyway, one of the things he needs to work on is to finally beat the fucking Packers and win the division. That can be put on the whole team, but at least the Lions have beaten the Packers since Stafford was drafted... Stafford on the other hand has not.

That was awesome, but if there's one team you would expect that to happen to it's the Cowboys, now that Norv has left SD. They're just not ready for anything and continually find ways to lose. You would think that by halftime they would have figure out that single covering Megatron was a bad idea, but they just kept doing it.

A really calculated decision on Stafford's part. Such a high pressure scenario, and to have the presence to see that he could sneak it in, really smart football on his part.

I think Stafford gets consistently underrated as a quarterback. But, he's a very good quarterback. Amazing that he's only 24 or 25, feels like he's been around so much longer.

He wasn't exactly stellar last year, probably a reflection on his # of attempts, which were a career high. But he is maturing and having a really good year now. Being in Detroit no doubt has given pause to more accolades.

It was a strange game for sure as was posted on TV during the game that when an NFL team has given away 4 turnovers that the records of the teams giving the ball away 4 times is 1 - 54.

Well the Lions gave the ball away 5 times so are they now the first team in NFL history to win a game after giving the ball away 5 times? I am not sure about that but am not going to look it up.

Does winning a game giving the ball away 5 times have more to say about Dallas not being able to lock the game away or more about the Lions finding ways to stay in the game?

It might be worth noting that Dallas has allowed four 400 yard passing games this season, which hasn't happened in 93 years of pro football. It may also be worth mentioning it took 5 turnovers for them to barely beat the Giants in week 1.

In other words, I'd expect some more unbelievably awesome performances in the second half of the season, and I would expect a few more to happen against Dallas. Hell, Christian Ponder might finally throw for 300 yards in a game.
