Great catch, you pass the class. The only Philip I know with one L is Philip Rivers, but I am sure there are more.
Just thought of another Philip Donaldson.

While the topic is upon us.
Let’s all practice Philip Lindsay’s last name.
Lindsay
“a” between s and y, not an E.
That’s it for today!
I think Phlip Linsy is going to do great with McMarlin Gorvinn taking some of the load off of him.

Are we second guessing Lindsays ability to carry the load? He didn’t really show any typical signs of slowing down. He carried the load in college. He is also similar size to portis when he came out and he turned out to be the whole offense. Maybe he could?
think it means a lack of respect for Lindsey and what he
A decent report.Something to read I guess, but these national writers don't watch football, do they? Before commenting on this myself, read it and what do you think of this list?

Much different carrying the load from college to NFL level. Pac 12 vs NFL defenses.
Reason Lindsay doesn’t break down is because we have been smart with his workload by not giving him too much.
Lindsay can have an occasional heavy workload but you don’t want him carrying the ball 20-25 times every game.
I think some people are just way too sensitive about the Gordon signing. They find it defensive because they think it means a lack of respect for Lindsey and what he can do. I think people need to start looking at it from a team basis. We want to run the ball as effective as we can. We need two good running backs to do that. This opens up our pass game and controlling the clock, this is what Fangio wants to build with a good defense.
People need to stop focusing on the individual aspect of this move and more about how it makes us a much better team and lines up with what we want to do on offense. Need to start looking at this in terms of how it will help Lindsay and the Broncos offense.
Portis was 5’11” 210 coming out?
Lindsay 5’8” / 190?
The Redskins wore Portis down.
My issue with the Gordon signing is the contract, when we could have drafted a guy to be in the same role as Melvin with a far smaller contract.
At this point it is water under the bridge, and Gordon does bring a skill that Lindsay is not the best at, catching passes. Lindsay is not the worst in RB at catching passes, but he has room for improvement. I sure hope we see Gordon and Lindsay on the field at the same time.
Lindsay got overused and beat up by CU's use of him (same thing happened to Laviska Shenault) - which his why is dynamism didn't show up until he got on the Broncos.

We also drafted Paxton Lynch to be our next QB, it doesn't mean that turned out as planned. Pretty evident the coaching staff isn't as high on Freeman as they were when we drafted him.
I still have yet to see someone give me a reason why Melvin Gordon is a bad signing from a on the field standpoint. Other then one person trying to act lke his 4.0 career YPC is a bad thing. It's like some people haven't seen him play since he entered the NFL.
I get the money part, if that is your issue, fine. If you want to wear Lindsay down then whateves.. If you wanted to draft another RB early, fine... If you were content with Freeman, then fine. But nobody should be hiding the fact that Melvin Gordon has been a very good RB in the NFL thus far. I get it's the money part from you JD.
Again. No RB has broken more tackles then Melvin Gordon in a 3 year span, throw that in with a solid 4.0 YPC, a good rec out of the backfield and a guy with great vision who can find the EZ. I see a lot of complaining but no breakdown other then someone hating him for no reason other then taking carries away from our beloved Phillip Linsday. (with an "A")
Also, remember.. This is a 2 year contract, not a 5 year. We aren't locked in long term.
It is what it is Crash.
I like it- You don’t.
The only thing that I hate to see is you rooting for a player from your own team to fail and get cut in camp which won’t happen unless he does something stupid.
Just hate to see a fan root for his own team to fail.
The newer offense should help delay the printing of the “book” on Lock other teams will be looking at. The big test will be how he adapts when defenses finally get a good feel for how he plays.Either way back to Lock.
I love his leadership skills and our players rally around him. We haven’t had a quarterback players have believed in since Manning.
