Just a ploy to get people to buy tickets before the deadline. Reeks of desperacy.

The ticket office confirmed too many tickets remain available for the game to sell out

They're just saying, 'if you don't start buying tickets now, we won't have enough sales by the time the deadline reaches to broadcast it locally.'

I heard on the radio today (Ken Broo) that the Bengals' season ticket base is somewhere between 30-35k now.....that's a lot of seats to sell every week to a city that hates the owner......

You're probably right about that. I mean seriously, if not that, what is the point in announcing it a week early? I mean it still could, not that it will, or that I expect it to. Just was suprised they announced it so early.

Yeah, I have no doubt it will still be blacked out. It's the Bengals..playing a shitty 49ers team.

The Bengals could win 70-0 tomorrow and not sell out next week. Even in 2009 when we had a 8-3 record, we were struggling to sell tickets to a thanksgiving weekend game against the Browns. The Bengals have an unlikable owner, an unlikable coach, and there isn't a lot of star power on this team. We'll sell out one game this season - Pittsburgh. And at least 40% of the stadium will be missing teeth.

The Bengals do have an easy schedule, the moderate fan might start buying tickets if the Bengals win next week.

also goes to show ya how this organization thinks. "why haven't you bought tickets, we are undefeated? we've clearly turned this thing around"

If this trend keeps up all season (no reason to think that it won't) it might force Mikey to deal Carson.

At least make a statement to the fanbase that you are actually trying to get better instead of squatting on a resource because you are pouting. Then again, this is Mikey...so...

Related note, Carson is working out with T.J. in California. Kind of sad that two former mainstays are playing "catch" during an NFL season.

Both teams are shitty. I didn't specifically say the Bengals are shitty because that's just understood here.
