Biggest thing for the Mets is that along with homefield, they won't even use deGrom in the first two.

So even if they drop 1 at home and lose homefield. They still have their ace ready in game 3 vs Hendriks.

That's huge.

Interesting that the NLCS is pretty-much a dream matchup for the Networks, while the ALCS is the exact opposite. Having a New York or Chicago team(especially with the Cubs "story") in the World Series is huge, either way.

I don't think KC is anything they wouldn't want at this point.

They have become Americas darling. Ratings are fine with them.

The Mets are terrible vs good teams. 11-26 vs playoff teams in the regular season. Cubs were 32-24 against playoff teams. The only playoff team the Mets owned a .500 or better record against all year was the Dodgers because those teams were similar. Good pitching and sparse hitting. This series will be short and sweet. If the Mets played in the central they would have been a 80-83 win team

I am not sure Cubs use 4 pitchers but if they're up 3-0 they probably will. Mets may win a game or 2 but that's the most I could see and that's if they hit which I'm not sure they will

I just feel you haven't watched any baseball if at all.

May win a game or two? Look at their 4 starters. They are a lock to win a game. And the series sets up real well not having to use deGrom til Wrigley.

Mets have been horrendous against good teams including after they made their moves. They have a good staff so they have a chance IF those guys pitch out,of their mind. If they just perform per usual Cubs win easy

Their lineup in the second half was on fire anyway you twist it.

They will have the pitching edge in every game not started by Arrieta(even then it's not much of an edge).

To think this is an easy series unless the Mets over perform is straight asinine.

Yeah anyone thinking this is an easy series for the Cubs is a pretty big homer. I don't want to see the Mets win but if they lose, I know it will take 6 or 7 games. Cubs are not going to have their way with the mets with their bats as they did with St. Louis

At least he gave himself an out and can now claim "over performance" if the mets make this a series lol

They played 63 of their 70 second half games vs bad teams. We will see. They have really good pitching so anything is possible

I have seen that third base coach screw up several times in that situation. It's like he doesn't understand who has the good arms in the outfield. That out was huge for the mets.
