All you need is contact, and you get at least one run
3 KS. 4 of the 9 strikes were looking??

The pitches were not God tier pitches.
Sure they were Super Fast, but they were not running at all.

Swing the freaking bats.

Just put the ball in play. You dont need a hitters count when you need contact. A hit would be great, but contact was needed.

GO BRAVES. Fuck the Asteriskos.

Also, Braves have gone a lot longer since winning. And if they lose, my consolation is Dusty Baker finally getting a ring after taking 4 different franchises to the playoffs.

Yes! Roberts out-smarted himself destroying his pitching rotation trying to beat the Giants. It negated his biggest asset, the dominant starting pitching. That staff was so discombobulated that they never could get it right the entire series. Consequently, the worst team in the playoffs, by record, goes to the Series. That's baseball.

Literally the entire season hinged on that at-bat.
Just when I thought Dave Roberts could not be any worse

Sure he could have walked the catcher and forced a pitching change like any sane manager would do
Sure he could have walked the guy with the most hits in a single post-season with first base open
Those were inane moves by a clown, but he was only getting warmed up.

Everyone will try to blame the players for poor bats or INJURIES (like it is some sort of free pass)
If he can only win with a 300 million dollar Super team + zero injuries + homefield, than he is worthless anyways.

Freaking Brandon Hyde can do that, and he would cost a fraction of the price.

And just like the Bosox did in their series yesterday in a game 6 on the road....the Dodgers only silver lining for losing their league's championship series in 6 on the road, is they prevented Atlanta from winning it at Dodger stadium.

At the very least, they're the modern 90's Braves.

this is 1 way to get a big payday

Braves outfielder Eddie Rosario was named the MVP of the National League Championship Series.

While Tyler Matzek was outstanding as well, this doesn't come as any sort of surprise as Rosario was other-worldly during the series. He finished the series 14-for-25 (.560), tying the record for most hits ever by a player in a single postseason series. He also had three home runs, nine RBI and a stolen base -- including the critical go-ahead three-run blast in the decisive Game 6 on Saturday. He's going to be an incredibly hot commodity on the free agent market this winter after this heroic October performance.

well except they didnt win their division thingy:suds:

I meant in the regard that they've been a powerhouse but only have one title to show for. Dodgers have nine consecutive playoff appearances, won eight consecutive division titles (streak ended this year despite them winning 106 games, that's just extremely unlucky) and they won 90+ games in eight of those seasons (the exception being the shortened 2020 where they went 43-17). They've been to three World Series (lost to two 100+ win teams, one of those going 7 games) and six NLCS over this span. Their pythag W-L% has been over .620 over each of the last five seasons.

I think that's as close to a dynasty as you can get without having multiple titles. At the very least, they've been a consistently very good team.

While I was looking at the Dodgers' BB-Ref page, the last time they had back-to-back sub-.500 seasons was 1986-1987. They've had five sub-.500 seasons since then. You have to go back to 1991-1992 for the Yankees. Red Sox are pretty recent (2014-15), Cardinals were under .500 in 1994 and 1995.
