They fired Bud Black after winning their 7th game today. Not often you see a guy keep his job after back-to-back 100+ loss seasons, but it's kinda hard to argue against some kind of change when you start the following season 7-33. I don't put the blame on him, it's been pretty apparent for some time now that the Rockies are a very poorly run franchise. The Rockies pitching is awful, but the position players might be even worse. A team that plays at Coors Field is hitting .215/.283/.351 with a 71 OPS+ and 133 runs in 40 games. That they're struggling to average over 3 runs per game is pretty unfathomable.
