I'm not sure how Goldy couldn't be considered a bright spot, or maybe you left him out because you just expect greatness from him while the other 3 were actual surprises. Hitting over .300 again with an OPS over .900 and gonna have a 2nd straight 20-20 season. Not as good as his dominance in 2015 and he did struggle early on, but he's gonna end up with another very good/great year.

Goldy is the constant bright spot of the Dbacks, I expect greatness from him. He may be the most consistent star in the majors right now, he does everything and does it well.

He's so humble and a great teammate. Reminds me of Fitz when he was in his prime, I just hope we give him a winning team before it's too late.

He might be the most underrated superstar in the game, if that's possible. I was rooting for the DBacks this year with knowing SD wasn't gonna do much, didn't think it'd go as poorly as it has. I think a turnaround in 2017 is possible, the offense is still strong and will get back Pollock but the pitching needs a big upgrade.

Yeah it's been a nightmare season.

An offensive core of Pollock, Goldy, Segura, Lamb, Tomas, Peralta (assuming they stay healthy) will be one of the best offenses in baseball next year. The bullpen has been horrible, they need to improve the pen big time and add at least one consistent starter to put next to Greinke (Shelby Miller where ya at…) I'd only keep Ray and MAYBE Bradley in the rotation for next year along with Greinke obviously. Rubby & Corbin would be better off in the pen.

I'd sell high on Tomas. A terrible fielder and wildly overpaid. Poor BA with RISP. Problem is...with that awful, back loaded contract running four more years (and totaling $55mil) D'Backs will get little in return. BUT, they need to free up some cash...even if they get practically zilch for him.

Like you said - an almost total rework of the pitching staff is needed. And this at a time when the FA pool is weak. The front office (whomever it is) will have a hard time collecting better pitching with a thin list of prospects to deal and not a lot of money to spend. [Effect of last year's Greinke "big spend".]

Very true on Tomas, he is a liability defensively and his contract makes him less appealing even with his power surge this season. I think an AL team should be all over him as a DH personally. He's still young and has some potential, far from entering his prime.

I think they could get a decent prospect in return for him if they ate 25% of the contract or so.

The FO will have to get really creative (or fired… plz) in rebuilding the pitching of this team. The offense will be a force if Pollock can return and stay healthy so at least I have that to look forward to next year.

Tomas is flashing some of that power, but you're still talking about a guy with a .310 OBP and a 111 wRC+ (just above average). Seems to me like another Trumbo-type.

I really can't wait to see what Urias could do over a full season in MLB. Pretty impressive debut season for a 19/20 year old pitcher (3.69 ERA, 3.15 FIP, 3.62 xFIP, 10 K/9, 3.4 BB/9).

The Giants suck. Pure and simple.

That is all.

Bumgarner batting .160/.247/.320 on the season.

"who needs a DH?"

So the immigrants and the terrorists then? I always knew guys like David Ortiz were in cahoots with them.
It is eating away at the fabric of America.

Next thing you know, we will be eating plantain pies at thanksgiving.

Communist and fascists, all of them!

The Giants had a 97.5% chance of winning that game going into the 9th. :10:
