I think Gray has ace potential, unfortunately for him he pitches half his games at Coors field. He was great there tonight though.

As I boldly predicted, the Dodgers are coming on strong as the Giants are fading.

David Dahl should be making his debut tonight for the Rockies.

Giants will be fine. We got guys coming off the DL soon so it will be like Xmas up in this bitch for us by mid August.

And the Giants also have a more-or-less favorable schedule for the second half.

The Brewers have committed five errors in the first two innings so far.

Yeah, he's damn good.

Man… if Colorado can get themselves at least one more dependable pitcher they could make some noise. Jeff Hoffman in their farm has some promise. Dahl looks good too, that offense can carry them.

Hoffman's having a really good year in the PCL.

3.95 ERA, 9.25 K/9, 3.11 BB/9, 0.84 HR/9, 4.17 FIP

Colorado Springs is one of the most hitter friendly ballparks in the PCL. The league ERA in the PCL is 4.53. A lot of pitchers usually see their peripherals dip significantly as well.

That rotation looks a lot better than in recent years (not saying much, of course). Chatwood has one of the highest ground ball rates in the majors and Bettis has decent FIP/xFIP marks, suggesting his ERA could improve. Tyler Anderson's shown some promise as well (small sample size).

Rockies really might not be far off.

Justin Turner hit 3 homers in April and May. He's hit 15 homers in June and July.

Safe to say the guy who tormented the Mets in last year's playoffs may have found his rhythm.

Dodgers shitting the bed tonight. Could be a huge missed opportunity tonight with the Giants losing.
