They better get it going soon or this season may be over before tomorrow...
I wouldn't expect much from the Cardinals. They've gotten blanked by pretty much every playoff team actually trying.

We picked a bad week to get cold after a hot run but that's baseball.

Cardinals did their job today by beating the sCrUBS...Brewers need to take care of business......Go Brew Crew....
Yes they do...let's see if they're willing to take it or if they're happy with the Cubs losing and forget their jobs

The Cardinals have 2 DH players hitting 1-2 in the line-up. I sure hope this year of not making the playoffs again gets Mo fired.

JMart
Garcia
Gyorko
Norris
maybe Carp
Ozuna needs shoulder surgery

all need to go....If there is not a move this off season to get either a MOTO bat and/or a top tier starting pitcher we all know it is all about the all mighty dollar.

All that needs to happen now is for the Dodgers (89-71) to lose the next 2, Cardinals (88-73) to win the next one, and for the Cardinals to beat the Dodgers in the tiebreaker game. Piece of cake.:D

That's it. Dodgers are in. Congrats to all 5 teams. Cardinals gave it a go, but just came up short. To be in their situation back in July and almost make the playoffs is pretty impressive.

Cubs (94-67)
Brewers (93-67)
Braves (90-70)
Rockies (90-70)
Dodgers (90-71)

Hey Buddy, As long as you didn't say Mike Shidt needs to good I'm okay because I think we've got a rising star managing our team.

but Shildt is evolving into Matheny with his continue use of Norris. I am seriously questioning the premature extention of Shildt with no interviews of other possible candidates.

Go Cards you have given us hope. I would rather avoid that one game wild card situation!

Hopefully Flarity still pitches today. I want the Cards to have a hand in the Cubs having to play a play-in game.

I hear you man but our Cardinals have a pretty good proven history of promoting within the Cardinals organization. After Matheny, Shildt was a breath of fresh air to me. Since he took over at the all star break with a team only one game over .500 with a team going nowhere his record speaks for itself. I look forward to seeing what Schidt can do with the Cardinals next season starting with a 0-0 record. I know the players like and respect him and he has a good baseball IQ.

With this said, we need a better bullpen and particularly a dependable closer which in my opinion is the most glaring weakness we have. This is where our GM must step up and get the right players to fill this weakness. It wouldn't hurt to get another position player who can hit and play defense either.

I understand that you want a closer but putting it all on the GM is not the way to do it. Closers are the hardest players to use past performance as a measuring stick. You have guys that can close now, just that they haven't been identified yet. Which of you borderline starters are lights out for 3 innings but get lit up in the 4th? There's your closer.

Brewers are a team thats made all of the right moves in the past year or so.

It'll be interesting to see how far they can go.
