How exciting...Cards go to Pittsburgh to play 3 with a 3 game lead for the Central crown...Pitt has everything to win, and the Cards have everything to lose. Go from a best team in baseball to possible WC in the next few days...Crazy!

Lets go Cards!

Love it...after all your trash talk going into 2015 you seem to be taking on more water than the Titanic and about to sink to 3rd or 4th in the Central for the next 7-8 years. Like I said, the "Cubs look like the Cards, and the Cards look like the Cubs in September"...

Seriously though, get used to it b i t ch!

Cards have the best record in baseball and just beat the Pirates in a game the Pirates needed.

Cards will be fine if they can stay healthy. 7-8 years? God doesn't even know whats going to happen. Two years ago, the Cards were better set than any team in baseball.

LOL...1908 shithole. Wake me when you make a WS...

We've heard this all before and still nothing for over a century! Scrubs look like the scrubs...

How are the Cards taking on water??? Still the best record in baseball and unreachable by your diapered bears...

The mentality of Scrubs fan is truly stupendous!

Congrats. That's now three 100+ win seasons in the last twelve seasons. That's pretty damn remarkable. And oddly enough, it was the 83 win and 90 win squads that won WS titles. Gotta love baseball.

It's insane just how good the Cards' run prevention's been. A team ERA+ of 137. Johan Santana's career ERA+ is 136, for reference. Wacha's been their worst starter with a mere 118 ERA+ and 2.9 bWAR.

This is the most overachieving Cardinals team in recent memory. Its amazing what they've been able to accomplish from a Win/Loss standpoint but just pitching lights out and being clutch when opponents are on base. Their home record is also quite impressive as their record in general if you factor in all of the injuries.

I think an article mentioned that only 3 of the last 22(?) teams to win 100 games won the World Series and only about half win their first round.

Everything starts over in the playoffs

Fifteen pages in and Cubs fans show up

Not true look again. I give you credit for still posting though albeit "salty" as it is. Your Cardinal bretheren are ghosts. And as our conversation the other day about choking I don't think the cards choked.

Yeah, I'm still kinda salty although there really aren't many Cardinals fans on this message board in general. Just something Ive noticed over the years. I think when people were recruiting when ESPN and Disney went down, no one tried recruiting any Cards fans.

I'm still trying to make sense of the end of the season. I know that the pitching fell off but it really fell off against the Cubs and they were still able to get the games they needed against the Pirates. There is something different about this Cubs team. I don't want to say PEDs unless what happened in the Cards/Cubs series extrapolates throughout the whole playoffs. Its probably just be an evolution of newer players changing the game and the approach on hitting and a laissez faire approach that gets it done. Thats good for baseball.

The Cardinals are really going to have to restock their farm system and make the right moves this upcoming offseason because the division isnt going to get any easier. They pretty much have to re-sign Jason Heyward .

I didn't think the cards would stay in first all year due to the injuries. Hats off to matheny for winning 100 with that crew and yes I'm biased but it's the first time since maybe 2008 I thought the Cubs were better on paper than the cards. And yes they need Heyward back but he's gonna want 7 yr 150 million Type of deal I think .
